Then how would you report to admins about bugs, cheaters, etc.? By cellphone? i dont think so.

Well , they should of course save a chat that allows people to talk to admins worldwide or just a simple /report command .

And too the gandalf quote, once the server becomes popular and have 100 users (hope that it have oneday) it will all be a mess if its worlwide so I really hope that this server will have local chat as default and no worldwide pms or chats unless its too admins or by using cellphone.

And like most servers there are always some areas where people gather too hang out and chat so I do not think it will be too quiet.

I'm sorry for bringing this up again but i really think it would work very well in the end.

I agree with asky about the local chat thing. Now that I've seen how floody the SA:MP chat can be, I support the idea to change the default chat to local talk. Of course there should be left some command to talk publically also e.g. /public <message>.

But Gandalf is correct, that at the moment it's not wise to start using this system. We have to get more regular RPGers on server, who know the rules good, until we can make a such change in the chat system. Also at the moment the cheaters are a big pain in ass, so public chat is important.

But after all, I think this kind of a change in chat system would be good should be done propably after SA:MP 0.2 is released, as it will include better protection against cheaters etc...

I'll keep on posting ideas whenever I get any 

#1 Remove the bikes until they actually can be rammed, atm most new criminals use the bikes as it is almost impossible to ram them so they fall off. Just spend lot of time trying to get down a biker with three or four other cops.

I like riding the bikes my self but in mp its impossible and very annoying to chase bikers as they cannot be rammed and shooting at them doesn't seem to help neither.

#2 Add a /backup or /b command for police officers that also give the location of the police officer using it.
This would make it a lot easier for police officers to have teamwork without teamspeak / ventrilo .

#3 Add a /respond command for police officers to respeond on backup calls

I think that it would be kinda cool to have a GPRS system. (If it is possible). This would help new players find their way back to the police station when they have a criminal for example.

It's probably the best I've ever seen, but some changes I'd like to be made:
* Graphical fuel meter
* Persistent "save points"; you pick up from where you left yourself at. I timed out many times when playing with kaltsu and it really ticked me off. (skin-based).
* Some kind of an "wanted people" sticker on the screen every whatever-minutes.

#1 Remove the army, there is no use for them at the moment anyway pretty useless .. they cannot kill wanted players without getting wanted and their vehicles are always used by deathmatch players to gank others.

#2 ( lock all law enforcement skins too accepted players)
Make the police force invite only, everyone probably notice what happend last night when loads of players joined and became cops and did /suspects randomly to get cash.
 
So, the police force should be invite only, requesting permission to join the police force should be made on general forums just like the admin application with some requirments that should be kept secret. There should also be official ranks for all police officers that are listed on the forum so everyone know whos in command.

The police force should have ranks starting from Officer too Chief of Department.
I am not sure about these ranks as I just did a random search and found these and apparantly most police forces have diffrent ranks
Example how this could work ..

    Officer.   1st rank
    Sergeant. 2nd rank
    Lieutenant.    3rd rank
    Captain.  4th rank Can choose swat skin with more firepower are used for mafia / gang raids only.
    Deputy Inspector. 5th rank
    Inspector. 6th rank Can choose FBI skin
    Deputy Chief. 7th rank
    Assistant Chief. 8th rank
    Bureau Chief. 9th rank
    Chief Of Department 10th rank  ( only one can be the chief of department )

The police force should have their own secret subforum that only police officers may plan what tactics and when to bring down the mafia when raiding.
When planning a raid of a mafia it should be put on the forum and the top ranks must agree to do it. Also, other officers may start votings to vote off Chief of department and replace him / her with a new chief incase they believe he aint doing the job right.
 

Also by invite only we could get rid of all these random players who joins and suspect everyone to get free money and there are those who also kill other police officers.

#3 Police officers can only use the lawenforcement cars and no other vehicles (this could be just an rule for all officers).

#4 Honestly most of the planes and helis should be removed and the remaining planes/helis should require a license that should be very expensive, if a player do not have a license he will get thrown out after entering the plane.

Loads of criminals have started to use the planes last couple of days.. usally the cops spend 10-15min and sometimes much much longer chasing a guy and in the end he choose to jump into a plane and fly up in the air. And the worst part is that they almost never ever fly away to escape.. they just circle around us as we cannot do shit to get them down! <-- that is annoying ..

#5 Make weapons harder to get, block the entrance of every ammunation or autokick / autojail if they enter it. First, the dual weapons just ruins the whole combat because all they do is circle around you and shot and you're dead in a couple of hits. Secondly, most dmers will get bored and leave because they cant get weapons fast enough.

Weapons should be bought by other players who have smuggled or whatever .. or like the mole thing .. all criminals get a waypoint by the mole where they can buy a weapon and this waypoint should be random.

#6 Create some nasty mafia and gang crimes with some nice rewards but can only be done when lets say .. more than 5 cops are online and it should put all gang/mafia members on most wanted (red name) and they must reach a waypoint or many waypoints far far away.


#7 Is it not possible to make wanted players save their wanted level when they logout / timeout? This would also be nice.

#8 If a wanted player is killed he should end up in jail with a long penalty and if he surrender he still have to pay but with a reduced penalty .. this might make people to actually surrender!

• Without a drivers license you shouldn't be able to enter cars.

• Police should be able to have a command like /pd to set their waypoint to the PD for new officers who don't know their way around.
• The /d command should take your weapons away adn change your name to grey to make you an off duty cop. And you should do /d again to get your weapons and stuff back.

Some automatic payday script isn't a good idea, because then players will just sit on server and wait money to come. Players should get money only for working.

The /d script idea I like, though the script command could be some different. My suggestion is to change the offduty-cop's nickname to same color as citizens (that light green, or whatever it is). Then when you return to duty, you get your padge, police radio, gun and your nickname changes back to blue.
