I love it, make it shorter though, it will greatly cut down on the amount of complaints we get from players every day. Good idea man keep them coming

Todds, the thing you gotta remember is that all of that happened in less then 20 seconds. I asked you to surrender in PUBLIC chat, and you ran towards the water. If you had the intention of surrendering, you shouldn't have ran after the car exploded, you could see on your minimap that there was a cop near you. You had jumped over the hill, then LLOYD showed up, and you ran towards the center of the road. My only point was that if a criminal crouches, most peoples first thought is that the criminal is NOT surrendering, and that in fact they are trying to create a smaller target area for the police to shoot at, and increasing their defensive capabilities. And you can sit there and say that I am trying to justify my killing you or that I thought you were easy money all you want, however, I do feel that I was well within my rights to shoot you.

You had plenty of time after I shouted "surrender!" to type "/me surrenders" or anything similiar. And if I thought that you were easy money, would I have apologized? And helped you out later when people were carjacking your limo. I think not. But this post is leaning this conversation towards kill-zone material, so if you have a similar responce, maybe it's best we take the issue there instead of here.

But I'm not going to sit there and interpret a criminals actions (IE crouching with no weapons), for nothing like that is in the rules about surrender. So, if you're wanted, and you crouch instead of typing "I surrender", then you are still going to be shot. If you want to change the rules, go ahead. Until then, I'm not going to sit there and think "Oh, he's crouching. He's not going to shoot me!" You didn't surrender by the rules, and you (And Lloyd) yelled at me over it. Yeah, that makes sence. It's simple: Surrender by the rules, don't make 'em up as you go along, and EXPECT everyone else to know what you're doing.

I do however like the idea that if a suspect "/surr" or similar the cop looses money instead. That seems more of a fair compensation then hearing people complain "I surrendered!" then flamming the cop that shot them.

I said the 75% because if he typed the command in a middle of a fight and an officer shoots him, he won't die so fast. And for the surrendered players cops will get more money, but if he surrendered and they killed him, they  will lose more money too.
Many players type surrender when they see they can not win the fight and almost die. If this loses cops money it will be abused even more.
There are two options for a criminal: surrender or fight. If he surrenders, there should be no visible weapons. Otherwise it is fighting.
If a criminal surrenders dring a fight and the cops miss his surrendering, it is the mistake of the criminal. He should not have started to fight.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

Fair enough todds. If only all 'Arguements' were dissolved so easily. The whole point of my original post wasn't to call you out, it was to address the issue of different forms of surrender :)

I think Gandalf clarified it as best as we could possibly hope for; neither explicitly for or against either side, and yes, accidents do happen.

Probably impossible, it would be real sweet to see NPC charectors roaming the streets like in SP

This is built into San Andreas itself, I dont think it is possible ?

It has been discussed by the SAMP developers and been dismissed. Not possible unless we modify our SAMP server and clients.

Well then what about more durability? Or is that "Modifing server and clients"... I know that some of the hacks/cheats have the ability to modify the duribility of vehicles (make them indestructable). Maybe its possible?

It is possible by script. Respawn time will be checked as it is to be 15 mins. But somehow that does not always work.
Making them indestructable is possible, but will not be done. Because even indestructable cars will can not survive my driving  :lol:

I like the idea about the surrender command. The surrendering criminal would be freezed, until a cop come and do /cuff. This will make the criminal follow the cop, without any chance of fleeing. If the cop gets in a cop car, the criminal will automatically get in passenger seat. If you shoot a criminal who surrendered, you lose money. Then you could drive to PD and jail the surrendering criminal and the reward would be, say 2000. For shooting it should be 1000 and NO vehicle bonus. If a criminal dies he should lose more than 1000, else this wouldnt work at all, as most criminals would rather pay 1000 than sitting in jail.

Also, I have a suggestion about mechanics and cars and so on. Sometimes, when the car crash into something, the engine should break. You can do /c mechanic and one of the people working as mechanic could come and /fix it for money. Could also take a pickup and make the car drive behind the pickup by a command.

The mechanic thing might seem a bit irrelevant, but try it once, and you will see what great roleplay it will make. Will also make people drive nicer.

HOLY CRAP everybody! Check this out:

So there I was looking up some PAWNO scripts for amusement, and I came across a RPG style script. There (to my knowledge) aren't any servers currently running this script (Found on an official SA:MP disscussion thread). I'm not going to post any actual links, but if any admins like maybe Aragorn or Gandalf would be interested in incorporating these concepts in (maybe for 0.2?) I'll gladly show them where I found it. Here are the features:

                  * Level System - Character XP/Levels gained from kills.
                               Higher level = more health, better weapons, more money
                  * Gangs - players can create and join gangs which are saved. Some XP is shared among gang members.
                  * Weapons - players must purchase thier weapon upgrades from ammunation
                           with more weapons becoming available as they increase levels.
                  * Race Modes - Gain experience & money from winning races or beating race records.
                  * Deathmatch Modes - Gain experience and money in deathmatch battles.
                  * Database system for saving of stats and config.
                  * Gain money/xp for holding and protecting turf (pirate ship, etc).
                  * Tracking of kills and deaths.
                  * Passive health regen, based on level.
                  * Pay system, constant income of money.
                  * health/money cheat protection
                  * Account system.
                  * Totaly original and custom ideas and script

Most of the concepts are already in place in the server, but what about the concept of Expierence and Levels?
Lemme know what Admins and Players alike think of this concept...

Just a thought.
