chat fonts disappeard

hello guys
my friend installed IV MP, when he open the server it dont even says anyting

Go to settings after u open gta ivmp
Check if the text type is tahoma and size 10
If its clear replace the setting file with a defauot one

He can check if there are any fonts inside of \Grand Theft Auto IV\IVMP\CEGUI\fonts
There should be 5 of them

If that is okay, then just do what Osamad said.. when entering IV:MP, go to Settings>Chat

Set default font as "tahoma-bold" or any font from the before mentioned location with fonts
Be sure that the values underneath are all 0, font size.. at least 10

similiar problem i guess, if that doesn't work tell ur friend to download this file settings.xml and put it in IVMP folder. That will reset the client settings and it includes the quick connect IP by default

Go to GTA IV Remove the IV:MP Folder and then uninstall IV:MP, and then install ivmp.

Sorry if I'm late, but this is a simple solution:

This is a common bug that happens sometimes after crashes that require restarting PC. It happens often with me and what I do is simply going to my IVMP folder, and removing the settings.xml file. When you start the game, it'll start as if you just installed it thus you need to get the IP again (which is: 46.105.234.126:9999 ), put it in the "Direct IP" area and just hit connect.
Chat fonts will be restored to default

It was about the setting file. I downled what mark said and it worked for my friend. Thanks a lot all ^^
