Suggesting to add something to the DM rules..

Hello,

I'd like to see something added to the rules regarding DeathMatching(DM), which is
that players won't be allowed to aid a suspect without being involved in any RP's/Chases
regarding the suspect.

I'm requesting this because I am seeing a lot of random players joining every suspect
around the map just to be able to shoot at some cops. At this moment it seems that they cannot be punished
because they may aid a ''friend'' But as the entire server is befriended or within the same groups this is kinda ridiculous.



I remember this rule being implemented before, and sadly it isn't being enforced anymore..

Oh well.. I'll help my buddy not to lose notoriety or 5k weapons if he's in trouble with or without the rule. It's a broken rule since in several cases like the entire group gets involved but yeah, both yes and no for this one.

There are many arguments for and against this, but in the end I think it's better to allow criminals to aid one another as long as it's not indirect (shooting all of the sudden without any RP just because you're aiming at his friend).

One could argue cops shouldn't be allowed to call the backup of cops that logged in after the criminal got suspected, because they aren't related to the RP scenario either. Personally I think that's a stupid argument because law enforcement is a simulation of a huge organization consisting of thousands of employees per state in real life.

It's already a rule. Look it up. Can explain what the rule says but then again, ultimately it's up to the admin handling the case.

Just know that other people can't shoot at cops unless at group HQ, or they have been called to help, or are actively part of the situation ( via aiding or just staying around as passenger )

Yeah well.. Calling them for help over a cb.. Which causes everyone to contact his contacts who will eventually join the situation..
And I do get the point of family's helping each other out.. but random Argonath players joining for example the Corleone's/Gvardia's/Sforza's
without any involvement..

Communicating via /cb counts as roleplay. This is how Corleone calls for backup. Similar to /rpanic, except you can actually see when we call for backup. This is like crying about cops using /r to call for backup.

However if you were complaining about calling for backup over /gm, then I totally agree. It's bad.

I do not recall this server named as "Argonath Cops N' Robbers" to add such a rule. If a suspect has called his friends for "aid" via cb or phone or any other rp method then what's the problem? This is a game, winning and sometimes losing is normal.
