PM in buildings

hmm why cant we pm in buildings? i think its good if we can, for the reason that when im in a building with say 5 people and i want to say something only hayden can hear i can pm him, because everyone in the building will hear my /w and my /l so on so forth only way of making it so only one member hears in the building is by pm but its disabled in buildings.

I would happily SMS if every person had a phone. Until then, /pm is just simpler.

And yes, PM should be able to be in buildings.

More people is using PM and knows more about it i think. Its a good idea you cant PM inside buildings

It makes you have to make a call, which is more Roleplay if you ask me, and yes i think PM should be replaced by /sms or something similar for more roleplay

No, the PM command doesn't need be rechanged to SMS.

If you can't separate what is RP and what is NON RP, heres a guide and learn it.
Because its an RPG server [you dont need to RP in every single moment], and not a real life role play server we need non rp communacation too.
So instead of the remove pm, we should get a new non rp chat, and some update needs on current rp chat.

1. the main chat, the pulic chat, and PM is only for non role-play talk
   
    It stands for:
    discussion about what to role-play, for chatting in private or public, to get and give help to other players.
   
    So when we are not able to use the PM in buildings, is very very pointless.

    When the scirpt is not enough, you can rp in main chat. [eg: taxi, or medic radio]

2. the local chat, shout, whisper, cellphone, sms, radio, megaphone, is only for role-play talking

3. [+ we need new commands for better rp-ing]
    -We need a local ooc(out of character) chat | atm the players are using (()) or put [ooc] when they talk
     about non rp talk while use /l  , but it takes longer time.
     The worst when the players are just simple using the local chat for non-rp talking.
   

I dont how what you guys think about the chat colours, but i guess its awefull and its annyoing sometimes.
ATM every local chat[/l /s /w /call], the radio, megaphone and the  /me command has the same colour(purple).
When you are in RP its hard to pay attention to every chat, and the old system was more user friendly.

[local chats] - white - grey (depends on how far you standing from the other player)
radio(police ardio) - blue
megaphone - yellow
/ me - purple

About update: The police radio should be visible as the cellhpone. In real life, you can hear when the cop is talking to the radio, thats why they using codes. Sometimes the pulled over guy thinks you are afk, but you just talking to the police radio.. so its annoying.


Back to PM, i dont see the point why should we rechange a non RP chat with a RP chat, we need both of em
for better communication, and if they using the commands incorect, as arognath player you must help and
teach other players how to role-play.

yes i know that dont treat us like idiots, this was in a TCL meeting i wanted to use pm in the building to go threw with hayden about promotions and demotions, i wanted to use pm so everyone inside the building wouldnt see what i was asking hayden about, it was a private leader thing.

oh ye, right, then if you are on meeting, the person you want to talk to in private is less than 1 meter far from you and you send him a SMS?

My suggestions:

Put whisper back as /w id, so the message only goes to that person;

Or reduce drastically the range of /w, because atm its too wide.

and put /sms back.

Stiff, you took it wrong.. i just gave a guide for new players, and to thoose players who doesnt know how
to use the chat system, plus i told my opinion.  :roll:
