Nowadays, each time you go onto a Roleplay players keep moaning " Don't Force RP". Everyone is aware that we do RP while it's not a focus, and we aren't seeing all that much of it comparing to SA:MP, But at least get a good reason for your escape from RPing or either quit with some Roleplay as well. We are constantly seeing players with same reactions each time they get involved into Roleplays which is " Don't force RP ". Forcing RP refers to forcing the Roleplay to go the way you like and not giving options to your opponent other than complying with yours which is a rulebreak and thankfully we have /dice to reduce quarrels between both sides. Check this topic for more infos.

My purpose was never to offend any person or group by this topic, A simple reminder of "what Forcing RP is" from a simple player who's noticing daily issues about this matter. Thank you for understanding.

I'm afraid but unless they remove this wrong explained concept also from the "RP guide" put as sticky topic my bad here, i meant in COL topic it is shown in the materials to study (the one written by danny and not Mihail), everyone is gonna avoid it with this excuse. You can try to teach new players all you want but if they get a wrong idea of what forcing roleplay is, it's over. Nobody from staff bothered to clarify it and i hope they will now.

The problem is we are seeing such behavior from veteran players.

I corrected my post, that guide is actually posted in the COL materials nowdays anyway they are the ones who should be an example, no wonder you guys have been struggling in rp for so long.

Force RP has little to do with dices, first of all, over 95% of force rp reports on force rp are total bs, i for one had a wrong definition of force rp for a year or more, till i started rping with people who rp for fun and not victory.

To be clear the lack of patience i seen from most free cops who think that giving, a instant suspection is a great start of any form of rp.

But then again, after few minutes when they get bored or the see they are loosing, or a random cop comes by and shoots the suspected player because he is a suspect, he must die, god forbid he evaded the iron hand of the law enforcers.

Then again on other side of spectrum we have people who find any scenario where they cant win, a force of RP.
Or manage to do miracle escapes from heavy guarded locations, while restrained, or they manage to jump out of a trunk while tied *both hands and legs* by breaking the trunk with there head * yes that happened mid kidnaping*

Force RP is something like this, Player A dose a roundhouse kick and knocks unconscious player B, simply because player B had no option or chance to react.

Proper RP, player A tries to kick player B, player A /dice rolls 3, player B /dice rolls 2 Player A hits player B in the arm * no real damage is used as roll was just a 3 and player B did roll just short with a 2 roll*

Proper RP, player A tries to kick player B, player A /dice rolls 1, player B /dice rolls 6 Player A loses his balance and falls on the ground breaking his arm.
*roll 1 vs roll 6 on such difference major things must happen*

Also as long as we are light RP/Freeroam server, i wouldn't bet in any rp related changes from most players, just simply because, they can say i don't wanna rp, and you cant touch them.
This dosn't apply for suspects  as you will be jailed even if you say im out of rp, as you should because that's only viable way to end a suspection other then investigation or successful evading

That's not exactly what meant to be discussed in this topic, All what I wanted to clarify is players who are moaning and repeating the " Force RP " thingy and who misunderstood what is force RP.

Exactly, That's what I tried to explain.

When I think of force roleplay it reminds me of powergaming. I'm pretty sure people have the wrong definition of force roleplay.

Also, if you don't want to roleplay, go find a corner in the map where no one comes. For example, you can't speed and not expect a cop to pull you over and moan afterwards its force roleplay if he tickets you. In such cases you can get rekt.

Yup, but adding this rule would make changes and make players focus on roleplays :)

Today/yesterday during an LCPD/NOoSE operation, a detained subject (I'll be nice and wont mention his name) from a well known family on the server, jumped from a LCPD heli mid flight while handcuffed. Impossible situation yet these guys either think its funny or don't give AF about RP.

TIP: If the rules on your family page say that "members MUST always roleplay" then maybe you should try it.

As a matter of fact, anyone registering a family or group on the forums has been around long enough and is fully aware that we support RP on this server. I have been getting complaints about this problem for too long and its time for it to stop. If common sense wont fix it then the rules will need to be updated and the trolls will need to be disposed of.

Indeed we were all shocked about such attitude and which led me personally to open this topic.
