You can't give an idea about something you don't know, so please don't.

Yup you're right, and this time we should not lose our patience.. Lets hope to have no debates on this topic anymore.. Let us co-operate with the staff this time..

A couple of questions that still haven't been answered:

How did the breach happened?

Why were the passwords in plaintext and not salted/hashed? Are they encrypted now? If someone breaches the host again, will the passwords be easily stolen again?

What is the plan for HQ to resolve this constant breach issue (Is there a game plan?)


I'm for transparency and I hope HQ can be transparent. We get the situation is crappy, but leaving us in the dark does not do us any good either.

The passwords were never stored in plain text. No one ever claimed they were either.

Good to know, but even if it was hashed, why use weak security?

Either way, I hope we can come to a good resolution for this. I love this server and this community and hate to see anything happen that would drive others apart.

I'm not gonna say anything but no matter how strong the crypt is, once someone's got the script code and the encrypted password/name/whateverthatisencrypted, it can be decrypted easily.
