Just wondering if there's any phone experts here..

Hi there,
I'm having problem with my Xiaomi Redmi 1S. It keeps restarting on the Mi logo, I can't even access fastboot.
So I'm guessing it might be a hardware issue, last time i OC'ed it (I think i fried the CPU lol) it restarts and then won't even boot up completely.

Here's how it looks like now:

It doesn't even pass the Mi logo sometimes (a.k.a screen flickers). Might be short circuit or the battery?
Everything is original, no replacement yet it's been holding on for almost 2 and a half year without a problem except overheating when playing games/multi-tasking.

I might replace the battery and see if it gets fixed or not, or should I bring it to Xiaomi Service Center?
It's hard to find the battery on the stores cuz people these days is going for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3/4.

Thanks for your suggestions/comments!

Nothing, or nothing you can see..

I am not a pro, and I am just saying.

Okay, I had an RedMI 1S a year ago, and as like any cheap phone, it used to overheat like up to 70 degrees [Celsius]. So, I couldn't multitask, and if I used data, my SIM slot heated up like a lot, felt that the SIM would burn up or something.

Regarding your problem, I guess the problem is the battery, try going to a local phone shop and try replacing the battery, or else if you still have your warranty on, replace the whole phone.

If not, your phone is screwed. It will not function, try buying a better phone like the OnePlus 3 or 3T, cause this phone really is horrible, random shutdowns and overheating, its miserable.

I highly do not recommend you to buy this phone.

I'm sorry about your phone, I guess its time. This only way to fry the CPU or short-circuit is possibly, if you poured water on the phone  .

My MI died as it overheated tooooooooooo badly, and voila. The screen began turning black. All the features of the phone works except the screen or display.

So, in all, replace your 1S battery, and if that doesn't work, buy a 3T.

Good Luck.

(Current phone of mine is - iPhone 5C)

I repeat I am not a pro, I am just saying through the experience I got. :D

Okay so, I've managed to turn it on by letting it off for a while then plug the charger in and the battery immediately.

Date and Time reverted to year 1970 somehow (do phones has CMOS battery? lol) and I ran CPU-Z to see if there's any weird reading.

The back of the phone is really hot. Plus, the battery says 90% on off-state and goes 1% when I've managed to boot it up.

When I turn on flashlight or unplug the charger (even when the battery is 100%) the problem showed up again.
It switched off and began to restart at the Mi logo.

I have time to backup every single thing but this phone just won't last long. Thanks for your "Mi Story" @Advik

I guess, you solved your own problem. You see, yep you are right, some "old" phones use CMOS, such as the Sony Xperia E 3, MI 1S, and when like it loses its battery, or discharges rapidly, it resets to 1970.(though not sure why only 1970).

Take your phone to the nearest service shop, but b4 that, back up ur phone, as your condition seems to be that, phone works when plugged in, but fails and CPU and OS crashed when unplugged. Seems to be a weird problem, if you wanna continue using this phone, recommended to take it to service center or visit the MI website or call the customer care.

My MI story is weird, Idk if you were sarcastic, anyways, thanks and no problem. @DarkPower202
