Well these are my specs

i5 7400 3.00 ghz (turbo boost is active so it's 3.5 ghz) quad core of course
GTX 1050 2gb
8 GB ram vengenace ddr4 2400MHz
the motherbord is b250m mortar

so, this game is not running on the fps i want i mean, i have the settings on all ULTRA settings and it's getting me 40 fps and lowering to 30/20 fps, that's unbelievable lol.
I downloaded the game which was highly compressed with EFLC included, so it's only 12 gb and not 25/30 gb like any others. Is there a commandline that can help me with something? because i dont understand

Disable Hyperthreading Mode as IV doesn't support it.

Nothing, or nothing you can see..

U probably need a better GPU if u want to play in ultra settings. 1050 2gb won't be sufficient.

GTA IV is quite badly built and/or optimised anyway. It does not work well on modern hardware.
It ran quite crap even on my i7-6700k and 980 Ti.

This is why quality ports matter. GTA IV has a piss poor port to PC, hence the performance issues. Back when I had my gaming PC, GTA V would run much better on my right than GTA IV, as GTA V is well ported and optimised, hence it can almost run on a potato.

Try to disable night shadows, drop shadows to high and turn off Vsync and eventually drop the view and detail distance to 50-60.
This should help a lot with gaining better and more stable FPS.

The best idea on getting better graphics is to run stuff a little cranked down to high and using ENB to enhance the visuals which looks better tbh.

GTX 1050 isn`t considered high end but a budget line GPU from Nvidia`s 10 series Pascall cards.

Disable Hyperthreading Mode as IV doesn't support it.
i5 desktop processors do not have hyperthreading.

Well said Surena, GTX 1050 was put into market mostly for business desktop machines so they could handle certain tasks quicker at a budget price point. Knowing from experience with GTA IV with settings turned too high it can start to chug down the memory and once it runs out is where the lag will begin.

As Surena stated shadows and distance is good way to lower usage of memory.

If you do get some spare money at any point I'd prob recommend upgrading to a 1060 with 4GB memory minimum should overcome the memory issue for this game.. But for best perform without going straight for 1080ti the 1080 variants mixed with an SSD setup to handle cache should help with this and future games you may decide to play on your computer.

That being said GTA IV was a game that was badly brought to Computer as it was very roughly done.

Yep I agree with the others. Once you get up to 1920x1080p resolution it gets difficult to run at max settings unless you have a real top of the range card. Call it lazy software development on their behalf!

Meh...
I can get 70FPS with some spikes to 40-50 here and there at 2560x1440 with my AMD R9 290 which is considered mid range and on par with RX 570/580 nowadays.

Ofcourse you also need a decent CPU to keep up with a mid-high end GPU, especially in games like GTA IV and V which are CPU and GPU intensive.

Make sure the copy you downloaded wasn't jam packed with modifications and ENB and possible single player cheats, From personal experience that completely and utterly fucks the game and the FPS making it almost unplayable
