IV:MP and Windows 8.1 | ENB Issues

I created this topic to find someone who is experiencing this Issue on their Windows 8.1

Few months back I installed a New OS on my new PC which has Win 8.1

The Fact is , The Game Crashes when I open with a ENB Mod.
but it works fine with Non-ENB.

If any one have this kind of error or a Fix to this, Please comment Below.

I had a similar issue with windows 10 back few days. Try to check if removing the file called "d3d9.dll" allow you to have access to the game.

The ENB works on the File name called "d3d9.dll", The Game launches in Non-ENB mode , If I remove it.

Cry ENB v1 and v3

I reinstalled the game before installing v3

Seriously... get another ENB.

CryENB uses Adaption which IV:MP doesn`t support, so it is not a surprise that you crash and if you can somehow play the ENB on IV:MP succesfully it will give you brightness, contrast and texture issues.

Bro , It works perfect on my Windows 7 , But IDK what is the problem with Windows 8.1

It crashes at the very beggining.

Try moving your GTA IV game folder somewhere else out of Program files, then enable "Override high dpi scaling" in the LaunchIVMP application.

No need to move the folder somewhere else , U need to Right click the Launch IV MP.exe and tick "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"

10 is worse than 8.1 unless you want to benefit from DirectX 12 and a lot of annoying updates.

Benefit from DirectX 12? The only way anyone is going to really profit from it at its full potential is by playing a game that is built from the ground up using that API. Otherwise, it wouldn't really work too well, even though it does get more draw calls compared to its predecessor, DirectX 11.

I meant games that are built to use DirectX 12 ONLY make Windows 10 beneficial, and people who own AMD cards get much better performance on DirectX 12/Vulkan compared to DX11.
