Some People in Argonath RPG cannot RP a Cop at all. And it can get quite annoying get abused and then killed by a Cadet. But I would like you to read the RoE for the United States.
In military or police operations, the rules of engagement (ROE) determine when, where, and how force shall be used. Such rules are both general and specific. The rules may be made public, as in a martial law or curfew situation, but are typically only fully known to the force that intends to use them.
~You have the right to use force to defend yourself
from attacks or Threats.
To Defend yourself from attacks means they have to attack first. A Civilian with a weapon is no longer a Civilian~Hostile fire may be
returned effectively and promptly to stop a Hostile.
This means you cannot fire at a Person when they havent Fired at you first. ~When Police and Military are attacked by Unarmed Hostiles, Mobs and/or other rioters. Police and/or Military should use Minimum force necessary under the circumstances and Proportional to the Threat
So this means, if you are arguing with a Citizen and they Punch you, You dont go Blasting your shotgun in their face.
~ Treat all people with Diginity and Respect.
~ Use Minimum force to carry out assignments.
~ Always be prepared to act in self defence.
