Hello everyone, I'm having some issues with TextDraws in the game, below an example of my issue. Not sure how to describe it well but I think its trying to use Russian characters. It also happens when I use ctrl+t in-game.



Would be lovely if I could get this fixed, had quite some fun in-game already.

I am not sure, but, try reinstalling your font files. Might fix this issue.

Just keep digging for your true purpose in life! That is, of course, what you deeply want and have dreamed of your entire life! Just, don't waste it on becoming a replica of someone... We are really UNIQUE how we are.

Did some testing, it also happens in Single Player so its an issue with the game, not the IV client, if anyone has any ideas that'd be great, haven't been able to figure it out myself yet.

f it's a Steam version, I think you can do some sort of integrity check, located in your Steam library, and it will replace the corrupt files.  Never tried it, but I guess it works.
 
Gotta love Steam though.  Makes gaming life a little easier.

It was connected to fonts used in the game.. just at the moment I forgot which files were used

Put these two into GTA4/pc/textures

hud.wtd and fonts.wtd

These are basically the default files of the images that are used to show player indicators.
I just forgot if hud has anything to do with fonts, but regardless.. just paste it over haha

I once modified those files for one of my mods that hide all of the player indicators, so... it should correct the problem.

If not.. then the problem is connected to one file called "american" smth smth.. I think that was it haha
Might search later for it
