Game crashes

I was playing a game of TF2 when my game froze and I had to close it using task manager
I tried to rejoin but my fps is just way lower than it used to be, I tried verifying the game but it didnt do anything
When I launch other games the problem is still there, my FPS is still bad
The only thing that made this disappear is when I shutdown the pc for a day(idk why)
I checked my temps, event log and scanned my HDD for any bad sectors but nothing was wrong
Possibly a bad driver?, Should I get a new PC?
I dont think that this is a GPU crash since I should get a temporary blackscreen

i think it's coz of the game maybe... free online games via steam sometimes are unstable and most of them are buggy

I very highly doubt that. TF2 is a very popular game, Valve wouldn't do stuff like that.
