Even medical marijuana would have some sort of different characteristics than street marijuana and even if it doesn't, he technically hasn't made a petition to legalize medical marijuana, which would obviously be legal, not the street drug.

Counter to MrMeeses' statement.

First of all, there's no difference between marijuana and weed.
So is Medical marijuana, there is little to no difference b/w recreational marijuana(street marijuana, no idea why you say that) and medical marijuana. Medical marijuana has cannabidiol while recreational marijuana has tetrahydrocannabinol.

CBD(or Cannabidiol) takes off the 'high' feeling, which THC(or tetrahydrocannabinol) provides. And also, many states in the USA allows Recreational marijuana, I don't see why we have it restricted in Vice City. Hopefully the government notices this petition and legalizes weed.

I suggest you read up on this. As a Lawyer in Vice City, I've taken the time to study some Law in my own time out of interest. If you're caught with weed, there are ways you can defend yourself in court but generally it depends on the amount you're caught with. If you properly roleplayed with a doctor and then got the court to sign off for a prescription you might actually get to use marijuana legally.. once or twice.

All in all, I am not in favor of legalizing weed, as surprising as that may sound coming from myself. In my opinion, having marijuana illegal is not only more realistic in the sense of real life Florida law, but it opens up so many more possibilities for criminal roleplay, court roleplay, etc. rather than having it legal.

It is mostly used by criminals in situations in which they directly challenge law enforcement, for example, to heal during a smuggle when being challenged by VCPD. It is pretty much with what in mind it was created, so it would have no sense to have it freely available without any legal repercussions.
