NEW RECOGNIZED/OFFICIAL GROUPS, SYSTEMS - The beginning of a new Argonath SA:MP!

Hello beloved Argonathians!

Today is the day where we change gameplay of Argonath's SA:MP server quite abit. For the past few months the management team has been having daily meetings and discussions about the server's state and after all the agreements and disagreements, we are here to present the changes and improvements.


Before we go into the big game-changers, here's a list of the small changes done to make the game a little more enjoyable or to fix the issues.

- Quality of life changes (implemented few weeks ago)

Simplified a few longer commands, the following is how you use them.

/microphone - /mic
/reply - /re
/switchweapon - /sw
/gunpoint - /aim - /gp
/attachfarmtrailer - /aft
/paytoll(opentoll) - /pt - /ot
/weaponequip - /we

- Changes within the current official groups

SAPD:

*New payroll system. Official SAPD members get paid based on their activity and effort within SAPD. (implemented few months ago)
*Official SAPD members get automatically equipped with a Desert Eagle, Shotgun, SMG and an armour after going on-duty.
*SAPD members with special permissions are now able to hide their /area during operations. (Also applies for FBI)

Most of the changes within SAPD also apply to FBI.

SAFD:

*SAFD is now a fully active group again with a new leadership. (HQ will be leading it until we find a suitable leader.)
*Official SAFD members are now able to use EMS skins and have access to the /heal command.
*Raised the payments per mission.

More updates to come within SAFD after the new leadership has been chosen.

- MISC

*Added /siren for ~15 more vehicles
*People that have level 10 notoriety can now go to jail.
*Fixed minor issues around several scripts.
*Added the ability to remove your notoriety at the LSPD
*Added the ability to purchase custom mapping (Houses, objects at your current property, containers, RP blockades, etc. for all players.


- THE GAMECHANGERS!

After hundreds of discussions with the management team, we've finally decided that it's time to change the game once and for all. It's time to stop (or reduce) the amount of deathmatching festivals with your friends (which usually end up in friends reporting eachother) and "enemies." WE'VE IMPLEMENTED THE NEW WEAPON PRICES!

Reasons for raising the weapon prices:

1) Realism - As of until now, 90% of our online players were heavily armed at all times due to the ridiculously low weapon prices. Nobody cared for their weapons and losing the $400ARD desert eagle was no biggie. We had a large amount of rich players buying RPG's and shootin them in the air for no reason on Pershing Square, giving the newer players a cozy deathmatching server vibe.

A new player that joins the server is granted with $5000ARD. $5000ARD before this update granted you a Desert Eagle with around 3000 bullets. We as the management saw this as a massive problem and it was one of the reasons why we started thinking about the new weapon prices.

Before this update, getting heavily armed was more than easy, there was little to no effort needed to aquire those special items.

2) Economy - The economy system that was implemented at the start of RS5 is completely ruined, with alot of spawned money and so on. The idea of this is to have a yet another money sink (besides the custom mapping system) which gives back to players, in this case it's weapons, which are considered as exclusive items. Players will now have to actually work for their weaponry, since it's not that cheap anymore.

The new weapon prices can be seen in the ammunations and black markets!

These changes will for sure help us fix the economy by atleast a little bit and lower the amount of deathmatching within the server.

- NEW (NOT SO FINISHED) DRUG SYSTEM!

We were hoping to finish this script and announce it with the new recognized/official groups, but ran into quite a few big problems. The system is being worked on as I am writing this, but UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, THE DRUG MARKET IS ONLY ACCESSABLE FOR RECOGNIZED AND OFFICIAL CRIMINAL GROUPS.


And now... The topic you probably scrolled down to first before reading any of the things I wrote. THE NEW RECOGNIZED AND OFFICIAL GROUPS!

I personally wish to congratulate all of the groups that have made it this far, this is not a rank you just get by doing nothing. All of you have earned this by showing initiative, activity and setting a role-play standard for the other players to see. Well deserved!

Again, well deserved everyone! The HQ is very proud of the input and effort these groups have put in and we hope to see you continue the good work, to make Argonath a great place to spend time on!

From now on the HQ will review all the groups on a monthly basis and promoting/demoting groups will happen monthly.

I was thinking same, like over again...too much focus on SAPD now its getting very overbalanced. They already earn good and now payroll.

Im negative, but i think that part was not needed for SAPD. Otherwise weapon craft should be back
