VC:MP gets Stopped working when I launch it.

Whenever I connect into any server, VC:MP gets stopped working. Here is a Screenshot about the problem.



I don't know why it's getting crashed. I hope you guys will help me.

That's a bit vague. Have you tried running gta-vc.exe with administrator rights and in compatibility mode ( Windows 7 )?

This looks like a problem with your Vice City installation.

Does your single player run & can you play the game in single player? If not, your GTA VC installation is fucked. Do not install the game in program files.

Does your VC crash when you try to load the multiplayer? If yes, remove any and all mods you might have.

I can't even begin what kind of PC you'd need, but... Can your PC run VC?

Have you tried looking at why the game is crashing and googling said problem?

Yes, Single player works.

Yep, My VC crashes when I connect into any server.

My PC can run it.

Yes but Google didn't helped me

Compatibility issues, check your single player. The VC Single player, open properties of it and then go to compatibility.
Do the same with VC-MP Client and make the VC-MP one similar to the single player one.

As Kessu said,If you are using any kind of mods uninstall them and try again.If it didn't work by this way then re install your GTA VC

I've recently had problems with my Steam version. I wouldn't officially recommend this but I would google "gta-vc.exe 1.0" and go on one of the GTA fansites that come up and download their version of the .exe and that will get it working.

Other than the fact that the game works without any compatibility modes,good suggestion!


If you are using Windows 8 or above, kill skype process before installing vcmp so directplay can be installed properly. Also make sure to run vcmp installer as an admin.
