Many of you might have been a little surprised seeing the current departments members list. Well, it was a neccessary evil.

I have purged the members list of those who I have deemed inactive, incompetent or otherwise failing to live up to the expecations of the server and the department. This includes those who think they can get away with doing whatever the hell they want with complete disregard to regulations when they think I am not looking, those who think it's okay not to respect your comitments or neglect your duties.

Over the course of the last month i've been constantly warning people that this will happen if things do not start improving. Not only Cadets, but officers of the department themselves who had graduated the academy and were supposed to set an example to the rest were caught breaking the procedures, slacking and otherwise crippling the department, setting a horrible example to the cadets and creating a negative view of the department. I was aware of this, and I kept warning people to cease these activities. My warnings fell on deaf airs, so today, when more than half of the department neglected a mendatory training to try and improve the pathethic performance without any notice, I've grown tired of talking to a wall.

The department was purged. Anyone who has not made any significant contribution or has been deemed as underperforming has been fired or otherwise removed. One command staff member was warned. Citizen complaints do not fall under deaf ears. I hear them, and I act upon them.

This is not the first time we were forced to almost completely wipe the members list and start a new. We'll make it.

Bank Robbery Suspect at Large

18th February, 2018. VCPD gets alerted about an alarm going off at the El Banco Grando Corrupto. The VCPD SWAT team gets mobilised and responds to the situation.

Efforts of negotiation are discontinued as the robbers open fire. SWAT team besieges the bank, successfully neutralising several robbers. Two robbers manage to escape the bank unnoticed. One is later hunted down by the law, while the other has managed to escape.

Two SWAT operatives were critically wounded during the operation. Several robbers were killed, one survived.

The police are still looking for the robber who has gotten away with the cash. If anyone has any information on the robber, we encourage you to inform the Vice City Police Department.

Jewelery Robbery Foiled by VCPD

11th March, 2018. VCPD gets alerted about an on-going armed robbery of the Jewelery store located in North Point Mall, Vice Point. SWAT and VCPD units respond to the scene. VCPD suffers several casualties and the robbers manage to break through the police barricade. However, thanks to precision planning and tactics enacted, all robbers have been neutralised before they could get away with the jewels.

Florida Man Arrested for Hit and Run

An on-going pursuit of a hit and run suspect, driving a Hotring Racer has concluded in the suspect being apprehended and arrested. The man is currently in the holding cell, awaiting trial. Vice City Police Department do their best to ensure that careless drivers do not cause danger to the public.

Taking Out the Garbage

A public servant of the Vice City Sanitation Department has been spotted driving carelessly and vandalising public property with his truck, causing havoc in Little Havana. The police have attempted to apprehend the driver and issue him a ticket, but the driver resisted by assaulting police vehicles. Officers drew their weapons and shot several warning shots at the vehicle, causing the driver to surrender. The driver is currently in a holding cell, pending drivers license removal.

New Blood in the Department

Several days ago, the Vice City Police Department underwent an Internal Affairs review, initiated by the Chief Gabriel Adams. Over 6 law enforcers were found to be incapable of serving the law, reasons varying from failure to fulfill duties to general misconduct, and were therefore removed from the department. It did not take long for the void created by the said removal to be filled by new and talented officers. Two of them are officers from Liberty City who have moved to Vice City to try out for the great career prospects that the department offers. They have recently been accepted into the academy and have are under heavy training to make sure that the law in the city is upheld only by the most competent officers.

The Vice City Police Department always desires to maintain a positive image within the public community, therefore, every single complaint is considered and investigated. The Vice City Police Department has restructured its salary system, increasing the weekly salaries from 5 000 ARD to 7 000 ARD! Additonally, members of Command Staff are now going to be paid 15.000 ARD monthly salary. We expect the salaries to motivate officers and to attract new officers to the team.

Currently, the salaries are being paid from personal funds of Chief Gabriel Adams. However, YOU can change that!
Contribute to the safety of Vice City and support your local police department! We invite any willing bussineses, bussiness men and other citizens interested in keeping safety and order in the town to donate funds to the Vice City Police Department. Your donations are going to be used to pay salaries for VCPD Officers, to fund VCPD Operations and other VCPD related activities. Italian Standoff

17th March, 2018. Vice City Police Department responds a nine-one-one call from the pizza hut in Little Havana. Upon arrival, the officers witnessed an argument between the chef, the store owner and a man. It turns out that the man was trying to sell something in the store, and the store owner demanded him to leave. The VCPD units tell the man that he has to vacate the private property, however, the man proceeds to assault the officers and then takes the store owner hostage. After a long standoff, the Chef takes initiative into his own hands and blasts the man into pieces with a Stubby shotgun. After questioning in the Washington precinct, the Chef was released.

Gunrunner Raided

As a result of an undercover bait operation by Vice City Police Department, yet another gun runner is currently awaiting trial.
Man identified as [UFt]Hazard has been caught buying illegal weaponry and then using their property to harbor it. A search warrant has been swiftly provided by the court. 25th March, 2018 the search warrant has been executed and the accused has been found in possession of several illegal weapons, including explosives.

The man is currently in court, awaiting trial.

Yet Another Robbery Foiled

Yet another robbery in the North Point Mall has been stopped by VCPD SWAT. Robbers have been eliminated by an ambush located in Vice Port.

Marine Life Protection

VCPD puts a lot of resources and effort into protecting the endangered marine life in Vice City waters. The endangered spiecies of Ogra are targeted by fishermen for their valuable meat and skin in the black market. Such crime is punishable by law, and at times even reaches court, such as this case, where a fisherman caught fishing Ogras has been taken to court. This should be a stern warning to rest of the citizens - it is not worth it!

As per 1st April, 2018, Vice City Police Department is introducing a new Gear for SWAT - gear 7. This Gear includes cosmic warfare weapons, such as lasers, tactical nukes and satellite EMP's.

Results of the Vice City Space Agency's mission (more information here) allowed the government to succesfully employ cosmic warfare in order to subdue criminals and smugglers.

Anyone above 5 bounty will be obliterated.
