[IV:MP] Suggestion; Vehicles OwnerShip

First Example:

Anyone in this server would get bored of using the state vehicles all the time. Sometimes he wants to use his friend's expensive sports vehicle. Or he also might be not able to buy one, but he could make some friends and they might invite him to their garage/house.

After a while he goes with the vehicle for a test drive. He leaves the server and gets back after a while (10+ Minutes) and he suddenly wonders that hes somewhere far from his destination and his friend's car disappeared q.q.

He suffers while he walks all the way around getting lost around the city (If hes new), admins PM/Main chat would get flooded with his conversation trying to explain to people "I need a car" / "I am lost, I need a state car".

Second Example:

A newly arrived guy at the city would roam around with his friend's vehicle. He might also go to the Dealership and try to find some cool colours to impress his friends/hookers with his cool vehicle.

After he spents some time trying to find some suitable colors from Rid's mod or something. He urgently has to leave the server for a few minutes and come back later after he stores his friend's vehicle. (If he doesn't store it, then First Example will explain what happens next).

Suddenly, he loads the vehicle again and wonders why all of his efforts trying to paint his vehicle with some cool colors are gone! He finds the vehicle at its normal condition!

Third Example:

First Possibility:

Another newly arrived guy at the city would paint his vehicle and then go to show it to his friends, but suddenly he gets surprised after his other mean, bad and negative friend says "Its not yours :P"

(Of course the good approach in this situation is to say "Nice" or "Congratulations" not being mean with him...)

Of course, the newly arrived guy would rage and be sad because its not his vehicle and his friends have their own vehicles and they are destroying his hope of getting his own.


Suggestion Idea:

All of these examples have definitely has happened to us when we first joined Argonath, and I guess all of us had bad times trying to reach their inactive friend's to /savecar colours or tell them that they need money to buy a new car or something.

What I am trying to point out here is that we (Probably specific people) need:

1. Adding the ability of using /savecar with any vehicle available to /loadvehicle from garage/house.
2. Loading any vehicle from garage/house even if its not yours would keep it all the time with you.
3. The ability to edit vehicles' Owners Names only. Example: /renameowner [First ID] [Second ID].

As far as i understood you are saying that people should have more control on "rented vehicles".

Though i agree that it should hide who owns the car to everyone maybe keeping it private for officers to check for registration maybe?

Though i understand that its annoying to run around the map and stuff but the main purpose of rented car is to have less features. Which means that if you are driving a state car you have less, if you rent a car you have a bit more, and if you own it you have full control. The main point is having "purpose" for each thing. If someone is rich and can rent all his cars that others can use as their own, owning a car looses value.

As i said i think the idea behind the one you wrote is reasonable but the main purpose of owning a car is "it being yours", also having more options to do with the car.

As regarding the part its not yours. That's how life is, if you are driving someone else's car and they know its not yours they will say the same thing.

I hope you find my opinion creative and help you with your idea, for now Unsupported

1. It could be usefull to have the ability to save vehicle`s details while is not owned by you.
2. I dont know how that will be possible since we have rented vehicles as well,
    how the owner will get his vehicle when the time is come if its loaded by the renter?
3. No need to have something like that, is not a law break to drive your friends vehicle as long its "clean" and you have driving lincese as well.

You are right, but I am totally not talking about rented vehicles. I am talking about using your friend vehicle without paying a cent and having more control over it. Rented vehicles would get their own system rather than inviting people to your garage and kicking them again.....

Plus, I didn't think of officers work at all since its not my business and I am not suggesting this for any ilegal means.

People still have more positive side of views in owning their own vehicle like for owning it with their name; No suggestion 3.

Yes, buying owned vehicles will loose value and people won't anymore buy their owns and use their friends' all the time. But at some point they will argue and got to convince each other to be independent and buy their owns.

But sometimes it makes you mad to pay 100,000$ to help your friend buying the 200,000$/300,000$ vehicle and it says that he owns it and you got no full control on it. Sometimes you even pay more than he does !

(Suggestion No.3, It could be removed too, because you are helping your friend because...Hes your friend and you would deny the idea of buying a new vehicle in the first place if you don't wanna help him q.q)

i dont really think that a regular player will invite a "new player" who dont know anything about the server to his house/garages
its kinda weird that a  new player know how to /loadvehicle and /carlock !
and dont know how to /call taxi or to find a state car (server is full of state vehicles located everywhere)

This could be useful ! it's good that the player who rent the car (/loadvehicle it) can /carcolor it and /tune it

His friend, Maybe you never experienced that.
Plus you need much more time to memorize where are the state vehicles in the server.

He would either contact him offline or leave him a message not to touch it again and store it when goes off.
Happened to me a lot finding my friend using my vehicle and its still okay for me because I use his.

Admins can teleport players when they're somewhere far away without any vehicle nearby, and no one's there. That's how it works SA:MP.
