I'm starting to believe SAMP is on a steady decline... Would probably continue to decline so long as Kye/Kalcor is unmotivated to update it... Sure some servers may get max 70 players, but you're never going to see 100+ real players most likely... I guess now it's the waiting game to see what happens.

All i see is a big ego who thinks he is smarter than others.
This is the type of attitude that killed SA:MP imho. The same attitude that some people on the upper ranks had when they were approached with ideas to improve the experience of people on the server. Sure it's a privilege to play on this server on the expenses of Gandalf and other owners but i also think they had in mind a community concept when this place was made, a concept that SAMP has lost a long ago.

I see no reason to play anymore on SAMP for various reasons so i wish you all good luck finding the right way to bring people back, i will happily enjoy my stay on IV:MP where people may not be big roleplayers but they are friendly and listen to the community when issues are brought up.

I was there too. I don't remember him shitting on Argonath as a whole community, but rather how HQ at that time enabled Frederick to break things. But in all honesty, the current RS5 script is a mess. Scripts get that way when developers add, remove stuff, and come and go. When a script like RS5 is a mess like it is now, it's very easy to break things because there are so many systems that can conflict with one another. Perhaps Frederick wouldn't have been able to break as much as he did had the code been maintained properly.

And in a perfect world where both Marcel and myself had all the time in the world + motivation, we certainly could make a better script than RS5 that is less buggy, more maintained, and more documented. However at this point we are uncertain if doing so would be worth it...

My critic was on the fact he keeps accusing others with an arrogance that has brought no good things to SAMP.
I can understand the scripting side, that's why i said it was the upper ranks who were not listening to the community. RS5 is a game mode that was developed by like 4-5 different teams since the release right? It's a hell of mess. IV:MP has been much more stable with just one developer for a long time, that should teach a lesson to Gandalf perhaps..chaos does no good.

And honestly Chase, if you think it's not worth it anymore, don't waste your time on this.

There are a shit tone of weed scripts the same way you did it. Buying seeds, planting, growing, harvesting, selling. You didn't do something unique. So every server that has that weed script did not copy it from you.

No he meant the awesome server where their developers actually know how to develop. Developers that doesnt take a year to make one weed script but rather 3 to maybe 4 months to develop a whole server from scratch. A server where players are actually listened to, instead of being ignored. A server where the developers dont act bossy to it's players. And stop acting pathetic my friend. I, and all ex developers know you did nothing for Argonath. So stop blaming us for the failures the server has at this moment. One of the reason why Argonath is at this stage is due having people at positions they dont deserve. Remember how you shittalked about Argonath and now pretending like nothing has happened? Instead of looking for excuses why the server failed.. solutions should be found. The current RS5 system is totally broken anyways and instead of just fixing it and while it breaks even more, get a new server worked on from scratch and name it whatever you want. Get competent developers to help and speed up the process, because waiting and waiting and waiting isn't going to keep the players play and rather find another place.

Instead of putting the blame in the server which had opened, I'd rather suggest the owners to have a talk with them and have a deal with them. We all seen how competent the developers and even some members of the HQ there even when they were in Argonath. Instead of fighting with them, get a deal with them and have them help the community, that's if it's not late. Both communities have the same vision and both seek for player's help, the newly opened server is from players to players, and their owners and developers and HQ were even in Argonath holding high ranks in HQ and as developers.. it's their right to do whatever they want, and the server now is dead not because they opened the server, rather because the players were waiting for a change which never happened, and the other community used the chance and players are quite satisfied there..

In my personal opinion, there is no reason to continue with this blame on the other server. Either completely forget them and start working on the server, or have a professional talk with them and their owners, and merge the servers somehow.. I'm sure if the matter is taken seriously the owners could do something anyways.

SA:MP isn't really dead nor even dying. There are many servers which make more than 100 players daily, and what players look for is rather the server content than what the client offers..

the thing here is there is quite a number of players in that community that are community banned from our community or just banned majority is community banned even in high staff positions.
lets face it  they have no damn reason to care for Argonath's health and the fall of argonath came handy for them,from 10 they bounced to playerbases we didn't see for months  and unless they get a really really good deal some how will probably include high positions and unbanning alot of them and even then I don't really see a reason for them to move back and put effort here they currently win and they have all the playerbase...

Still worth the shot. I was told that that community started because Argonath stopped listening to it's own players and moving away from it's vision. If the reason is really the players and their enjoyment, I'm sure they would (if their intentions were true) find a solution..
