[SA:MP] Donation System

Alright, Well it's clear that everyone is a bit scepitcal about the idea of a donation system to pay a developer, So i have talked with the leaders and we came to an agreement.

That agreement was that we will pay for this Developer for 30 days, If people aren't satisfied with the progress we are making or it ends up being a bust and nobody likes the work he can put toward the community then we will stop this whole deal and focus our efforts elsewhere, But.. If things work out well and we see some improvements maybe people will be more open to the possibility of a donation system working on Argonath.

* The Patreon page will remain open aswell as the gifting system, Though we do not expect anybody to donate in these first 30 days, If you do happen to donate then that will 100% go towards paying the developer and a little toward the hosted tab(if there is enough).*

Still a lack of transparency. This isn't a surprise however. We're being requested to donate, but I see no way I'll be giving my well earned money to someone I don't even know the name off, or how it will be properly used and even reach the developer. It's not the first time a HQ isn't fully transparent with it's community members, which led to this situation.

I'd donate rather to see a V:MP server up, for that I'm willing to aid.

That's why it's donation system, not taxation system. No one is forcing you to donate. Most of the people commenting here supported that and when it happened they started opposing the HQ again. Donation system existed before, but while it was bugged no one cared.

I'm positive about this and looking forward to donate as soon as I get a chance to.

Do you have a timeline on how much time it will take? Are you developing using some sort of sprint/agile methodology and will you show us results on a timely basis?

I'm willing to donate/sponsor a good amount of money (let's just say the entire $325/month can easily be met/exceeded) but I want to make sure that what I'm sponsoring will actually do good, not just have some guy spin his wheels for 3 months and abandon the project. Convince me.

We are going to trial the developer out for 1 month and see how it all goes, i have 100% faith and certainty in the project myself, We are also in the progress of making a base roadmap as we speak.

And theres also part of the old player base that moved to another server, but honestly i wouldnt even let them back.

What im trying to say, other than fixing scripts do you really think this can also revive the server?

No ones gives a flying fuck where you want to spend your money, this topic was created in SA:MP for SAMP fucking development. If you don't want to support it, then get the fuck out. I think Andeey was very clear regarding the goal the donation was aimed at. And hey, honestly cudos to those in the management trying to satisfy your big luxurious needs.
