May not be the best place to ask but will there be a stat/money/property reset when this gamemode is done? Since that is what happened when we went from RS4 to RS5.
Yes and no - let me explain:
The database will still retain it's data but will be heavily modified for the scope of RS6. However we want to clean up the database by getting rid of old/irrelevant/inactive accounts and asset data.
So to get the best of both ideas, we will be giving a grace period for returning players to join and keep their data. This grace period length has yet to be determined, but it will probably be along the lines of 3-4 weeks after RS6 release. If you return after this grace period is over, your account data will be purged along with others who didn't return. The password hashes will be upgraded to a more industry standard as well. There's nothing necessarily wrong with the current hashing algorithm, but we'd like to improve it by replacing it with a industry standard hashing method designed for passwords.
