V:MP Installation Guide

Before you begin

Please make sure that you have installed Grand Theft Auto V. This can both be a steam version and/or a CD version. Argonath does not support piracy and therefor we are unable to help you with your installation when using a cracked version. If you continue to have problems with installing after using this installation guide, reply in the topic and other community members will try to help you.


Step 1

Download RageMP here. This is the official download link of RageMP. We will do our best to keep this download link updated at all times.

• *If this download link seems to be offline, try Googling yourself for the clients' download link.

Step 2

We suggest you to create a folder in your main Grand Theft Auto 5 folder named 'RageMP'. This way you keep the original Grand Theft Auto 5 files and RageMP files seperate.


Step 3

Open the client file you just downloaded, agree with the terms in the License Agreement and click next. Select the folder you created inside the Grand Theft Auto 5 folder and click next. The client will now install.

• *It may be required to run this setup as administrator due to restrictions in Windows.

Step 4

Once the client is finished with installing, check 'Start RAGE Multiplayer'. The client should now launch and install required files (this may take some time).

• *If you forgot to check the 'Start RAGE Multiplayer box', simply go to the RageMP folder in the Grand Theft Auto 5 folder and run 'updater.exe'.

Step 5

Windows may prompt when the client is done installing. Simply agree and open the client when done. You have now installed RageMP. If you want to connect to Argonath, hit the 'Direct Connect' tab and fill in the IP found here.


Step 6

RageMP should be automatically placed on your desktop. We suggest you to add a shortcut to your start menu aswell.

As far as I know, originally GTA V is around 50GB.

Steam version with all updates is 81GB.

What you named there is pirate copy, and Argonath doesnt support piracy. Besides that, you will have problems with it, as GTAV still has live updates which are also live on VMP.

Yes, 8GB is enough.

That's because you have a pirated copy.

... you don't have a choice... I'm pretty certain RageMP checks if you have a steam or socialclub account with a valid copy of GTA V. There is literally no way around it other than to fork over $29.99 for the game and no one here is going to help you find a way.
