Too many police officers...less mechanics, medics, drivers

Most of you probably already noticed the fact that nowadays there are way too many police officers.. since.. ever. While there is no one to roleplay as a car mechanic, medic, firefighter and whatever. There should be changes(scripts) and encouragements by HQ to support other posiblities to roleplay as, instead of doing useless paydays or non-roleplay related events, sponsor companies which would actually bring some roleplay and communication between players. Let it be a trucking company or a taxi firm, whatever. Right now there is just a "cops and robbers" aspect, I've witnessed myself a case where, a random civilian, was literally gangbanged by 10+ officers including FBI while he was sitting in his car trying to roleplay as bribing an officer. Another case was when I was parked infront of city hall while Michael was punching my car, a freecop is saying in his radio that "gvardias assaulting corleone need backup" and 10 seconds after all cops possible show up getting out and aiming with m4s. Most of the cops are driving around waiting for some shootout to happen so they start chasing, nothing else. Where is the ROLEPLAY in this?

I mean I can't say you're right I haven't been in these situations, but from personal experience, they won't give a fuck if you are speeding or something, because they are also speeding, and would rather engage in a shootout (which one of you assholes is aimbotting, I will cyberbully you) than in a RP scenario. Also, having many cops online means that people start to fuck around, either copbaiting or bored cops /su'ing people for no reason.  While this is something SAPD can fix, and not a server idea, but then again why fix something that isn't broken, something needs to be done.

The reason people are either police or criminal is because of two main things - easy money and lots of action. The reason you don't see many roleplay companies is because its not as profitable or even fun to do without script backing.

I've always wanted to overhaul the economy to where resources and money aren't simply spawned, where every job has a purpose in the economy. Something where each job pays depending on the demand for the work, not a flat rate. I want corporations and companies to be formed and have the ability to make money.

It can be done, but it's going to be a lot of work because the current script wasn't made with such in mind at the time. A lot of major code overhauls will have to be done for this to be accomplished correctly. The group, jobs, economy, and property scripts would have to be heavily interfaced between one another.

It's not impossible but would be a hefty undertaking to do.

It isnt even just freecops. It is full on SAPD members that I regularly see breaking regulations.

Hey no offense but if I had kept track of how many ANOTHER ONE we've seen of this particular 'current script issue' I'd say we probably have used the meme more than Khaled himself.

Seriously.. anything but the "it will take time because this script lacks pretty much everything" fiesta. I'm pretty sure half if not the entire server pretty much just confirmed that there's never going to be an actual change regarding the issue that is mentioned in the said case and we've just added another feature on top of the 'TO DO' pile that has stacked up more than at least a thousand ideas for quite a few years now. I know it ain't your fault but it's rather depressing to still see staff responding with a quote similar to yours.

Wasn't it some other dude promising some woodchopping script couple of months ago that was supposed to offer an extra option in terms of possible scripted jobs? What happened since then? Because it's been in and out a year since the announcement. I just don't know.. apart from a couple additional no major updates I believe we've seen nothing so far. Props to you and Teddy for still doing some work but it feels like you could use an extra hand.

cops are supposed to be in bigger numbers than criminals, that's a good thing lol. finally we have to actually run when we're suspected.

the issue is who those cops are. most of them don't roleplay shit but take the police duty as a chance to be on the side with bigger numbers during DM fests that happen on daily basis.

i remember the good old days when cops used to roleplay, back then you didn't get shot or tased or what ever just because you're a suspect.

I tried to roleplay everytime I was able to, I even remember when I was roleplaying getting treated by Tom Adams when I was out of a fire mission injured and they kept bitching that I was late, also yeah as Jason said the cop amount is enough when criminals just throw grenades at cops and use Sultan, Infernus etc. to escape or just rush for a state plane, land on a really high place that cannot be reached by land vehicles and camp with snipers. (I experienced this in Gvardia by the way, I'm not bullshitting about this.)

according to the sapd regulations (if im not mistaken), cops are not supposed to shoot at suspects or even their cars, UNLESS those suspects shoot first or drive a faster vehicles. countless times i tried to evade with Greenwood and other lowriders (and even sultan is slower than a PD cruiser), and every time i got shot.

criminals have to adjust, they do what they can to escape and survive, and you, cops, don't make it easy.

I see an awful lot of complaining about our personel here, yet there have been no complaints on our forum which internal affairs could take a look at. How do you guys expect people to improve if you never report their wrong doings.

See when I DM someone I get punished by admins, but when cops DM someone they are punished ( if even ) by "IA". Nah man, if my STATIONARY vehicle with me INSIDE it is getting shot at when there is no one between/ahead/behind me and the cop, literally no reason to aim at me, that's DM and should be treated by admins. But then sometimes it's actually a helper doing it and well I have to report at [email protected] and quite honestly I can't be annoyed reporting every single rule break that happens. You all have each other's backs and that's good, but that's exactly the reason you don't get any reports either, because your friend is going to handle it and say "oh you didn't RECORD THIS? too bad i cant do anything about it". The problem is the DM mentality a bunch of you have. Yes, we have shootouts, boohoo this is GTA. But don't shoot me because I have _Gvardia tag, because the police goal is to protect and serve.

I'm using a farmer skin, and had everything, seeds of all the vegetables and many...
I wish to work in a farm but... And yes, everywhere I saw 15 officers and 0 medics, firemen... And when I kill someone, 100 cops chase, 10 vs 1 (me) for sure they'll kill me.
