If the reason for lack of players is GTA IV being ancient then how come SAMP has much more players active even till this day?

SA:MP is pretty much already dead.

IV:MP T4, however, is a client mainly designed for Argonath with hardly any other servers there.

There is another mod CitizenIV for GTA. Unfortunately it does not have a lot more players there either

Why do you even blame the client and scripts, they are nice. People had played on this server since beginning and then they grew up, left the server because of need in studying or even working and some of their friends left, because it became boring. That have been happening for years, everyone is 18+ now and has no time for playing whole day. There are no newcomers because nobody wants to play such an old complicated game with 8 players online, you have nothing to do with this. And why you say everyone left because of lack of RP....You can start RPing, lets see how many players come back

Like everyone of us enjoys roleplaying with someone who is dedicated to roleplay for 5 minutes and then continue with your business (i.e. missions or growing weed).

IVMP need to move from Light rp server
to a medium/heavy rp server
where
refuse to rp
avoiding rp
poor rp
are considered as rulebreaks
also we need to update the /trade by removing /accepttrade for (players who have passport)
and that  makes the Drugs/guns Scam allowed like SAMP

I believe that everyone can start that by himself without the need of the rules for now. I mean until the rules are updated, if everyone starts to roleplay to his best it will be a healthy and good environment for everyone to play on.

The decreasing quality of roleplay did effect our server's players, slightly. But it was never the reason people stopped playing.
