I always used to be able to host my SA:MP Server off my old PC on the Router in my house. It always worked fine, however upon switching to a new PC I can no longer see the Server via my external IP address, but I can on the local (i.e. the server is running but not getting to the internet).

I have tried after disabling all firewalls including Avast and Windows Firewall. Its something on the PC, not the router/ports, because it worked fine before. Also, the Server folder is as-was with the old PC, and runs fine on 127.0.0.1.

Any ideas?

You have to change your IP to real,or download a program called PF (Port Forward) and forward ur ports :)

Don't forget to forward your ports. The new PC has got a new IP.

If your router allows you to choose which internal IP to forward the ports to, make sure the IP which they are fowarded to, is the same IP which is used to connect to your router.
You can check the internal IP which is used to connect to your router, by going to Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig

just a little hint.. 127.0.0.1 is your computer, no matter how many firewalls that are on you will always be able to connect

Yea, I've reforwarded the ports to 192.168.0.4. which is this PC. It still doesn't work.

I have forwarded my ports.

Its something to do with my PC, not my ISP  :conf:

Allright lets put some tech help here.

1. the IP of your PC is 192.168.0.4
2. In the router you have forwarded the port 7777 from 192.168.0.4 to external traffic for UDP
3. Switch on Windows firewall.
4. In your control panel go to Windows Firewall and allow traffic on port 7777
5. check if you are running ZoneAlarm or Norton firewall and disable them
Does it still not work ?
1. Take another PC in your house and try to connect from there. If it works, the problem is in the router forwarding, if it does not work the problem is in your PC.
