The Araatus Family are a secretive family. They usually act on their own Business, however this usually involves other people, in some way or another. Each member is highly valued, and only the elite are accepted.

History:

The Araatus family have always stuck together, and they remain so today. They work with their fellow brothers for honour, reputation, or plain profit.
Shortly after moving into San Andreas, one of the family, Arca, decided to move off and create the Matakara Society with his old friend, Sayaku Kei. The rest of the family stayed together in business, however any enemy of Arca is an enemy of the Araatus'. Any dishonour against a member usually ends in the shedding of blood in vengeance. Working with the native Criminals of San Andreas, as well as against them, the Araatus Family are gradually gaining a foothold in the underground society of the State.

Members:

Oli_Araatus Founder, Brother, Leader Oli Araatus was always very close to his brothers Arca and Rayuku, but generally no longer works alongside Arca. He does however support him very much, and has killed a Police Officer in vengeance of his brother Arca's conviction. He is smart in his work, and will often hire outsiders anonymously to assist him, paying them handsomely for their help. Oli is a force to be feared, and his organisational skills can often leave even the smartest Police Chief baffled.

Rayuku_Araatus Founder, Brother, Leader Rayuku Araatus can usually be found 'armed to the teeth', and anyone who tries to cross him usually finds a bullet or twenty in their chest. Rayuku is extremely skilled at driving motorbikes, and usually loses even the best Police Drivers in a pursuit. His drive for action is far beyond that of many people, due to multiple events in his life, most recently a large aircraft crashing into a building next to him - only for him to walk away without a scratch. Rayuku could sometimes be described as invincible, and is the most feared member of the Araatus family - by anyone who might be a target of his uncanny ruthlessness.

I don't think its as much about that as the fact that people will have prior misconceptions (or indeed, truthful experience) as to how someone acts. If somebody knows it was Mike, and they don't like Mike, they will avoid him. But if they didn't know it was him they might not. At least, I think thats what they're going for.
