Good morning Argonathians,
After the hectic week we have all had and are still digesting some of the recent events within the community you are probably reading the title of this topic and thinking "wtf".
Firstly I would thank the development team that has been working on the project for the past 11 months or so for everything they have done and contributed their own personal time for as well as any current or former Argonath developer that has donated their time and effort.
I'm not going to comment on what happened because to be frank, I don't know all the details and I was not a part of it. What I can tell you is that GTA:V multiplayer in whatever form has been a passion of mine since the game came out on PC and I like many of you just want a place in that realm to hang out, roleplay, explore, or whatever, you get the drift.
When the news broke that the V devs had left and after some time to digest everything, I reached out to Armelin and Carbon to see if either party was interested in reviving the RAGE:MP project because I certainly was. Low and behold we had a meeting and it went quite well.
I'm not going to tell you that there will be daily updates and a team of scripters working around the clock, all I can tell you right now is that in our time of need we have a new(ish) place to go and a new opportunity to reunite among ourselves. Those who were active during the previous inception would agree I think.
Some of you may not like RAGE and some of you may not like the script and that's okay but it is here for you now. Myself and Bengt will be leading with future staff to be announced. Bert and Joey can assist you in game as well if they are available.
Upon reading this message the server will be open for you to join, here are a few things to keep in mind, and i may be forgetting some things.
- this is a public test session not a live release but please follow the rules and use common sense. Be respectful.
- your old rage account should still be present in this version, if not make a new one
- if you can't remember your password make a new account or contact a staff member in game to reset it
- there was an update last night but there are still some known bugs and probably some unknown ones
- if you discover a bug please report it in a detailed manner (time, location, what is the problem, what is it doing vs what should it be doing etc..)
- passive mode is enabled for players without a passport, it may be buggy. please be aware of it and bare with it while we sort it out
- staff and helpers may be in and out of the server, if you have an issue please be patient and write it down. For assistance in game you can contact me, Bengt, Armelin, Bert, or Joey.
