UNITED STATES OF ARGONATH VS. Nylez

I. Introduction

Greetings to the Argonath Federal Court,

On July 25th of 2019, an initial investigation against Mr. Nylez Straccoine, based on suspected criminal operations, was initiated. Various FBI Agents have kept this individual under close surveillance and have looked further into the defendant's activities to determine the legitimacy of our suspicions.

In the process of our investigation, we found our suspicions to be valid. With that, the United States of Argonath is now prosecuting this individual for crimes against the Constitution of the State of Vice and its bylaws.

II. Case Breakdown

The name Nylez Straccoine could be heard in almost every corner of Vice City’s underworld. For many years he had managed to operate mostly in secrecy and keep a low profile, but thanks to the incredible work by various Agents of the Federal Bureau we have been able to bring to light some of the shocking activities Mr Straccoine would do on a day to day basis. This case will show to all an evil story of money, greed, and dominance. I will present to you the real face of Nylez Straccoine.

Mr Nylez Straccoine, the defendant, is well known throughout town for running a warehouse in the Vice Port district. The defendant advertised his warehouse as “the most lawful warehouse in town” in an attempt to throw a blanket over the extensive illegitimate use by numerous tenants. He would often put on a guise of a lawful, legitimate business man, but underneath the false façade was an evil, deceitful, cold blooded killer.

The warehouse quickly became a hot spot for criminal activity very early on and was kept under strict surveillance by the FBI. Our suspicions grew of the defendant’s own involvement in these crimes after various tenants at the warehouse were raided, and yet consistently no repercussions were given against said tenants and their tenancy was not revoked despite police intervention. It appeared as if Mr Straccoine was happy to allow the warehouse to be used by well-known, convicted criminals.

Mr Straccoine was first raided back in early 2018, where he and several other tenants were found to be harbouring an incredible amount of illegal weapons and narcotics. Although the case was dropped this still played a key role and acted as a backdrop to the FBI’s investigations. At this point we already had good knowledge of the defendant’s criminal background and of the warehouses’ illegitimate use.

Following more recent raids on multiple tenants, including Andy Dufresne and Billy “Sean” Costigan, a warrant was approved by the Argonath Federal Court to raid Cam’s Can Openers in its entirety, only a few years on from when the entire warehouse was raided initially [3]. The FBI found that Nylez Straccione had been evading taxes by storing $58,250 within his own locker, along with a mammoth sized arsenal of dangerous weaponry. This evasion of tax has caused the United States lost revenue due to Mr. Straccione breaking the law in order to get away from paying his fair share of tax. The United States of Argonath believe that this should not go unpunished and should be considered a major scale crime, evading over thousands of dollars of tax [3].

From the summer of 2019, the Federal Bureau began capturing the defendant illegally smuggling vehicles out of the city through a crane and a cargo freighter at Viceport. This continued over several months and into the following year. We were able to record 12 counts of vehicle smuggling by the defendant. The exact vehicles are unknown, however, it is confirmed that the defendant smuggles them regularly over a prolonged period, likely earning him hundreds of thousands of dollars [1].

The vehicle smuggling is only the beginning. Mr Nylez Straccione is also in the business of the illegal diamond trade, playing an important role in smuggling diamonds into the city and selling them to black market dealers for substantial profits ranging in to the thousands. Thanks to the dedicated work of the FBI, Nylez was caught with his hand in the cookie jar a number of times.

The first time the defendant was caught smuggling diamonds was May 3rd 2020. Along with multiple other acquaintances, Mr Straccione was spotted by the VCPD at the abandoned sea shack where pirates had left a smuggled crate of diamonds. The VCPD immediately converged onto the scene triggering a deadly shootout where one of Mr Straccione’s associates, along with a Police Officer, was shot and killed. We believe this ties the defendant to this crime, as an Accessory to murder. A city-wide manhunt pursued for the defendant and his accomplices as they attempted to flee. During this pursuit the VCPD had further casualties where Officers were viciously killed trying to subdue these violent smugglers. Ultimately all of the defendant’s accomplices were killed but Mr Straccione was able to evade [4].

The second time Nylez was caught red handed was when a C.I was able to get himself acquainted with the defendant on May 7th 2020. Thanks to the brave C.I the Bureau managed to gather further evidence against Nylez Straccione very clearly picking up a smuggled crate of diamonds left by pirates and selling it to a black market dealer [2].

Moving on, we come to one of the more shocking crimes committed by Mr Straccione. It was April 29th 2020, when a C.I was present at the Cam’s Can Openers warehouse along with the defendant. The C.I witnessed a violent and brutal attack on a police officer, where Mr Straccione murdered a police Officer in cold blood. He then proceeded to ransack the corpse and takes his equipment, stashing the weapons away inside the warehouse. Only minutes later, he uses a pump-action shotgun to murder yet another Police Officer, who was sent to investigate the previous murder. You can see in the recordings, Mr Nylez Straccione viciously executing the police officer as he asks him to “stop”. Mr Straccione then casually ransacks the dead police officer and takes his belongings [5].

Following on from the events that happened on the night of April the 29th, Mr Nylez Straccione was arrested and brought in for questioning by the Federal Bureau. Director Klaus conducted the interrogation, where Mr Straccione was questioned regarding the murder charges [6]. The defendant does not deny the charges, but states that he “cannot remember” murdering anyone. This was a scary response from someone who has become such a proficient killer. When asked if the defendant suffers any mental illness, he answers “it might be a possibility”. The defendant is then questioned on his knowledge of weaponry, especially the pump-action shotgun. Mr Straccione confesses to owning a very large arsenal of weaponry, stating he also uses these weapons on occasion but usually only carries weapons when visiting, as described, scary parts of town. Mr Straccione was then questioned on previous raids conducted on his warehouse. The defendant did not appear to have good memory of raids conducted on his business. Lastly, when questioned on the murder, the defendant made no comment.

In conclusion, the man is a cold blooded killer. A murderous psychopath with uncontrollable violent tendencies. The defendant has his hands in both vehicle smuggling and diamond smuggling, whilst deceitfully hiding under a false facade of legitimacy. It is an absolute must, and in the well-being of our society, that this man is put behind bars.

IV. Charges and Demands

The United States of Argonath, represented by the Federal Bureau of Investigation disseminates the following charges and monetary penalties demanded:

1.) Twelve (12) counts of vehicle smuggling:

As referenced by the case United States of Argonath vs. Kool Kat and the number of times we have caught the defendant smuggling vehicles, we demand a monetary penalty of $120,000 ARD.

2.) One (1) count of Tax Evasion // $58,250 ARD

Based on the amount of money found within the property, as well as the lost governmental revenue, with added extra to serve as part of the total fine, we demand a monetary penalty of $58,250 ARD.

3.) Two (2) counts of Second-degree murder // $300,000

4.) One (1) count of Accessory to murder // $150,000

5.) Two (2) counts of Smuggling // $150,000

6.) One (1) count of Illegal Possession // $25,000

We demand that the defendant is fined with a monetary penalty of a total of $803,250 ARD for the crimes committed against the state. We demand that should the defendant be unable to pay the amount, that his assets be liquidized and sold to pay the penalty. The state also demands that the defendant be issued the following prison sentencing:

1.) 12 counts of vehicle smuggling - as per the case by the United States of Argonath against the Slasto Family, we demand 10 years (10 minutes) of imprisonment.
2.) One count of Tax Evasion - we demand 3 years (3 minutes) of imprisonment.
3.) Two counts of Second-degree murder - we demand 40 years (40 minutes) of imprisonment.
4.) Two counts of Smuggling - we demand 15 years (15 minutes) of imprisonment.
5.) One count of Accessory to murder - we demand 20 years (20 minutes) of imprisonment.
6.) One count of Illegal possession - we demand 2 years (2 minutes) of imprisonment.

We hereby demand an accumulated total of 90 years (90 minutes) of imprisonment for the breaches of the State's Constitution.
