At first it does sound insane, for example I don’t play San Andreas on my PC, but I sometimes I play it on my phone. It really might be an opportunity if what your saying is true.

we already have players who do that, myself included, and Andy takes into account phone users when he develops something, however samp mobile is not as stable as the pc version and crashes when it is overloaded, for example entering a warehouse full of tables.

I recognize mobile players to an extent. I don't officially support the mobile version since it is using an unofficial version of SAMP and also side loads the app which I'm not a fan of personally. It also could be seen as piracy. If mobile players are having issues on the server that is isolated to them and/or their version, I won't fix the issue since I may not be able to. I see it as play it at your own risk and if you discover client bugs and then abuse them, that won't be allowed. As of right now I haven't added anything specifically for mobile players but will be adding /y to replicate the holding function for the interaction system. It also doesn't have support for object manipulation.

We talked about it a while back and unless players start causing issues with it, players can use it to play. If issues start arising though, we do have a way to ban it. Right now, there hasn't been any issues to my knowledge that had to punish players. I would be very hesitant about using it on a primary phone due to the side loading but it's up to you. We recognize the potential of mobile though so we hope it does help players play on the server.

The usefulness of it though? The entire server (and I think it is safe to say all servers) are built with keyboard and mouse in mind. I'd have a hard time playing SAMP on a mobile phone personally. Power to you if you can put up with it lol.

My target audience has always been the PC players. The interaction system I'm working on that requires less commands to be used and remembered was to help everyone. It just happened to help mobile the most since they are restricted with how fast they can type.

Personally, I do find it amazing; back in 2008, my then-potato PC could barely run GTA:SA. Now SA:MP is being played on smartphones. The current SA:MP mobile port is not 'official' in any regard and was made with previously-leaked SA:MP code, but if there was a better, less-problematic way to play SA:MP on mobile, I would endorse and support it wholeheartedly.

I am one of those regular mobile players here. As Aky said, the SAMP Client is unstable and crashes often. It is a nice experience, except the fact that some features such as sirens, are desynced. Another (painful) thing is that you can't tow vehicles at all, and your aim sucks. I, personally play on mobile because I don't have access to a laptop currently.
