Old Player - Thanks For the Memories

Hi y'all.

I haven't logged on since maybe 2009 - 2010.

I'm 26 years old now and I wanted to say thanks for the memories in SA:MP.  I still tell people about this community and the fun I had when others were stuck on San Andreas Co-Op mode.  I still remember the friends I made in the Stracci crime family and at Tuner Meets.  Also my very brief acceptance into the SAPD before I left for good.

I remember playing every day after school, being welcomed by the people I called friends and enjoying their company day in and day out.

I tried logging into SA:MP for nostalgia sake and came across a forum post that stated Argonath SA:MP was being decommissioned because the SA:MP client hasn't received updates in quite awhile. 

What a shame, but we can't forget the good times we had.

Glad this forum is still here.  It was WILD going through old posts.

Wow, also used to play 2008-2011 and I had a full blown addiction too hahah. I used to play every day after school and it was all I could think about. (Probably not too healthy) Amazing times, amazing people. Thanks guys

I mean, yeah, VCMP is still somewhat active. I dare to argue as it's always been, probably more.

But man.. I always feel like there's a hole in my heart where Argonath used to be. I mean, sure, future holds new things - FiveM, MTA:SA, but while it will be good, and could potentially create a new playerbase, it will not be the same. I think it's no longer possible for it to be the same.

Now whether that's a good or bad thing is up for debate. But it's undeniable that Argonath as we remember it was a big part of us growing up, and I get this empty feeling everytime I visit the forum only to see like one-two new replies at best, while there used to be hundreds of new replies left every day.

ARPD forum though is like... dead completely, and for this reason VCPD has moved a lot of its work over to Discord. So.... haunting.
