i think that we should increase the speed limit of the server
coz, its a usual scene cops keep suspecting plyrs for speeding, and it ruins the RP conditions

ive seen cops type !speed 1,2,3  and so on.... and usually most of the citizens are suspected
the server looks more like cops vs criminals rather than a RP server

many cops have to be trained to ask for small fines for lil crimes
killing a suspect because he was above 80mph is ridiculous

tho it doesnt sound like r/l, but almost all cars easily go above 80mph in game

Agreed. I always get shot for speeding. That is not very good rp. Cops just dont get it that shooting the suspect should always be the last resort but its always shoot first ask questions later. Goodblue as an example. I was suspected for speeding and I didn't serrender (I was a citizen with no guns) and I wrecked my car and started running on foot, then out of no where m60 rounds get pumped into my back. wtf? thats is not right. Maybe you could have !giveticket id/name and !acceptticket. Plus you could have !pull id/name which would come up as  id/name, Pull over now!

100 kmph is a reasonable speed limit, but maybe you should like set diffrent limits to diffrent roads/freeways/highways and so on ...

Hmmm....

Well, my opinions is that speed limits shouldn't exist on the server. They're just a poor excuse for cops to suspect people then come up and kill them for money.

In the case of when the civilian is a wanna-b-suspect, he'll speed and type !speed and try to get wanted like that, and this is very poor roleplay. But also, in the case of the cops who are wanna-get-suspects, they'll just type !speed, and do that to everyone until they find something which they'll just immediately suspect on. Since speed limits don't benefit either sides, or don't improve the concept of role-playing in the server, so they should be removed from the server.

It's understandable speed limits exists in real life and that people get killed in traffic accidents because they were speeding excessively. However, in the server, people just abuse this, and people don't actually properly role-play this. Instead they just go !speed and get wanted, or for cops, they type !speed on everyone until they find someone who is over the limit, then suspect them immediately. Not everything has to be exactly like real life. So ideas, such as this speed limit, which get abused too easily should not exist in the server, regardless of whether they're like real life or not.

I agree, car in VC brake very fast anyway, so no matter what speed your doing, you can always avoid accidents.

well, for wanna-be-suspects speed limit is not very efficient
they can just type "/ me is speeding"
of course, no cop is gonna say "speeding is allowed on VC streets"
so we rule out the wanna-be-suspects case

the problem is with "not wanna be a suspect", like klause said, you get killed when u dont want to fight any1 coz of speeding.
by removing the !speedlimit command, the cop's thinking wont change.
when cops type !speedlimit, nothing appears, that doesnt mean that they wont suspect people for speeding
on contrary, maybe they suspect people for speeds like 70 mph

its all about how cops react to speeders, irrespective of their speeds
if the speed command exists (on higher values), citizens can say "i am NOT speeding"
if it doesnt exist, no one can tell, u r speeding or not

cops just ask to the guy who speeds to pull over and ask him to pay a fine of 50$. If they reject they should get suspected for "not paying a fine"

I let them pull over if they go 120 mph or something. Couse I want the speedlimit 100mph. 80mph is too easy to go over.

Daddy, I don't know how you brought up that point. There's no speedlimit in SAMP, yet no-one ever suspects for speeding (reckless driving and speeding aren't nessescarily the same thing). Why would this happen in VCMP, if it never happens in SAMP? Cops can't just "make" up a speed limit, such as 60mph, and then if people go over it, they suspect immediately. This is considered power-gaming as the suspect doesn't want to be suspected, and neither was the suspecting properly roleplayed, and a good roleplayer wouldn't power-game. If speed limits don't exist on server, then there's no speed limit, and that's that.
