Brief Story
Sean "Sweet" Johnson due to a biking accident, was forced to step down from Grove Street Families leadership while he was fighting for his life at the hospital of Argonath RPG. As Sweet stept down from the possition, one of his liutenants, Melvin "Big Smoke" Harris and Lance "Ryder" Wilson was forced to step up and take control of the Grove Street Families. During this time allot changed, "GSF" where forced to go into the drug business in a attempt to survive as a Gang. Sweet has yet to be released from the hospital.

History and Information
None...

The Grove Street Families ("Families" or "GSF" for short) are a street gang in Los Santos, San Andreas, the native gang of Carl "CJ" Johnson. As far as street gangs in San Andreas go, the GSF are depicted as more honorable than their rival gangs, as they are against hard drugs being sold on their turf, despite the numerous other crimes and violent acts they take part in. The Grove Street Families are headed by Sean "Sweet" Johnson and his previous lieutenants were Lance "Ryder" Wilson and Melvin "Big Smoke" Harris. Sweet is adamantly anti-narcotic, but Smoke believes the GSF have fallen from power because of Sweet's refusal to have the gang sell drugs. Their unwillingness to enter the drug trade has dragged the Grove Street Families out of prominence in the years leading up to the game's storyline. This, coupled with the deaths of OGs such as Tony, Big Devil, and Little Devil, has led to the sorry state of the GSF upon CJ's return from Liberty City.

There are at least two other distinct sets of the Families: the Temple Drive Families and the Seville Boulevard Families, both of which were originally one with the Grove Street Families, but split up from the GSF during the five years of Carl's absence. Earlier in the game, they are not on good terms with each other, which is why the gang has weakened. Carl will occasionally make reference to Orange Grove Families; gang graffiti tags with the initials "OGF" also exist in the game. This was the gang's original name, though Rockstar changed the name before the release of San Andreas. Some references to this remain in the game, including graffiti that can be seen around Los Santos, tattoos that CJ can get with the name Orange Grove Families, and phrases that CJ will shout out while fighting other people.

The rivalry between the sets mainly has to do with Grove Street's opposition to drug dealing, but later in the game, the Families are united into one gang. Grove Street member Carl Johnson is involved in a brief conflict with the Seville Boulevard Families, who try to pin Sweet while he was visiting his girlfriend in Seville. Following this incident, Carl and Sweet Johnson call for an end to "green on green" conflicts.

While Carl's return helps revive the GSF to an extent, Ryder and Smoke's betrayal of the gang, coupled with an ambush on Sweet and other high-ranking members by the rival Ballas gang and the police, destroys much of the gang's influence in the city. Consequently, the Ballas and Los Santos Vagos seize all of GSF's turf in Los Santos. Sweet is imprisoned, and Carl is forced to continue working for CRASH, consisting of a corrupt group of police officers. However, Sweet's release from prison, courtesy of Mike Toreno, allows the gang to rise again (now co-headed by Carl and Sweet Johnson) and regain most of their lost turf from the Ballas and Vagos. Depending on the player's actions, it is possible to take some or all of the Ballas' and Vagos' turf for the GSF.

GSF members are always seen dressed in green clothing usually consisting of basketball jerseys, green bandanas, green hats, sweatshirts or plaid button-up shirts.

How things are run now
Currently, we are working in the Streets, selling our Marijuana and Heroin. Heroin is only sold to a exclusive amount of people.
We can mostly be seen walking the streets of San Andreas, around the Grove - Ofcourse. And you can buy "stuff" from most of our members walking the streets.
As there has been many Grove Street Families before this one, we will try to seperate ourself from them in different ways. We previously did not use any tags, but seeing as the server went official, there has been too many trials and we're unable to keep track of them. Because of this we will be forced to use the tag [GSF].
We are not in any kind of war with any other competing gang, mafia or group. We run things the way we do it, and we are not looking for any troubles.

We only allow Active people in this gang.
We do not tolerate any kind of DeathMatching behaviour AT ALL, Only fight in self defence.

  - NO GLITCHES, that give you advantage over other players (attacking from glitched areas);
  - NO PAUSING WHEN COMBAT, WANTED;- NO REVENGE KILLING;
  - NO FLOOD THE CHAT WINDOW;
  - NO SPAM (advertisment of other servers and sites, that do not belong to Argonath RPG server is NOT allowed);
  - NO FLAME/INSULT players. If you came to play on our server - respect it and our players;
  - NO ATTACKING WITHOUT A PROPER REASON;
  - NO ESCAPING WHEN SURRENDERED (follow cops to the police department);
  - FOR ONE CHASE CRIMINAL CAN CHANGE ONLY 5 CARS. Fight or surrender;
  - POLICE VEHICLES ARE ONLY FOR POLICE DEPARTMENTS;
  - MILITARY VEHICLES ARE ONLY FOR ARGONATH ARMY TEAM;
  - NO MONEY CHEATING (punishment: permban);
  - IMPOSTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED (no any copying other players' nicks or regular clans' tags);
  - SLANG IS ALLOWED ONLY AS A PART OF ROLEPLAY (swearing as personal attack on players will be punished);
  - NICKS WITH THE UNREADABLE LETTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED (Please refrain from using <>?/|\{}[]()-=+/*- due to the server's RPG script commands)

We do not accept members from other gangs nor mafias. Clans on the other hand, we do accept. But it is not allowed to use your clan tag while playing your character.

We would also like to pay our respects to any previous Grove Street Families gang that has been shut down previously or no longer excists, One in particular. I can't really recall the leadership, I believe it was ran by Niall, Edy. You have all been a wounderful rolemodel for us, it is our goal to rise and be just as great as you where. And it is in your honor we will try and run this for as long as we can.


Weapons we can get a hold of

Brass Knuckles - While not technically a weapon, as they simply upgrade the unarmed slot, the brass knuckles provide a little extra oomph when it comes down to hand-to-hand combat. These things come in handy in a pinch when one doesn't want to attract a lot of attention with loud gunfire.

Baseball Bat - Your everyday sports item turned classic kneecap "adjustment" tool. Not much to it really- 'tis long, heavy, and made of wood. Just grab the narrow bit and bludgeon people with the rather blunt end. Batter up!

Knife - Ye old Rambo-style combat knife. Big, pointy, and fast enough to get in close and slice someone up before they really know what hit 'em. Not only is it great for up close and personal fighting, the knife can be used for stealth-kills a la Manhunt.
9mm - Cheap, abundant, and easy to use, the ubiquitous "nine" will be your best friend through the early bits of the game. Most would agree it looks more like a Colt .45 than anything else, but whatever the case, it's got decent stopping power for a cheapo handgun. Or if it's not to your liking at first, practice with it a lot until you reach the Hitman skill level, and you'll be able to fire two at once with an extended auto-target range. After that, the cheapness and abundance of ammo for them combined with pairing them up make them rather useful.

Desert Eagle - This handgun delivers an unparalleled degree of accuracy and power with a distinctive feel that players will pick up on immediately. Originally intended to be target/sport pistol, players will use this weapon for the immense stopping power the handgun’s .50 caliber rounds deliver to a target—stopping assailants in their tracks, usually with one well placed shot. Because of its significant recoil, it’s almost impossible to hold onto at first. Look for higher levels of skill with the weapon to reduce this effect and yield quicker reloads and accuracy. The Desert Eagle is even deadly when out of auto-lock range, as a proficient shooter can fire in free target mode and still achieve one shot kills.

Tec-9 - A longtime favorite of gang members on the streets of Los Santos, the Tec-9 is a relatively cheap firearm made with low-grade stamped metal. One of the more interesting new features is that the player can dual wield Tec-9s, evening up long odds in the middle of a gang fight, increasing your respect and power in the ‘hood.

Please note, these are not the only weapons you may see us with, or that we may use. These are only the weapons easily accessable for us.

Allot of gangs and mafias are about making money... We are not. Ofcourse we want to earn money. But we want to have a good time making it, together.

Ranks

Ranks are made to judge who has the major vote in a decision. If a lower rank fails to follow a higher ranks order, the superior rank must let his superior know about this matter. Ranks also defines a persons place in a gang, and their possibilities to lead. Higher ranked members must be shown respect, but may not abuse their powers. Ranks are given to those we feel can handle for example a tough situation, someone who can break in and get order.

Story

Hot Shot...
Smoke & Sweet - Brothers in the real, Brothers in the game. We live under the same roof, we share the same business, and we share the gang. We love our weed and we love our members. Our main motto is: Treat others as you'd want to be treated yourself. And we stand by it. This is not only our personal motto, but the motto we preach to all of those who seek to join the Grove Street Families.

CJ - Carl CJ Johnson. His mother was killed in a drive-by shooting. After rebuilding his life and becoming one of the richest men in San Andreas through jobs and drug deals. He decided to hook up with his brother (Sweet) and visit some of his childhood friends (Big Smoke and Ryder). He is now protecting them with expensive and exclusive weapons in their bid to become the richest drug dealers in the whole of San Andreas.

Steppin' up...
iDevil - a trustworthy Grove Street Member, he tries hard to and does what he can. And deserves his life. Hopefully he will develop his skills and will one day become one of the greatest men of San Andreas.

A new line of work...
Smiley - Smiley loves his weed, and we all know it. He's the guy with a good temper, tries to stay cool in all situations and knows how to handle a gun if needed. Bringing the laughter when we smoke our green, The members of GSF knows this is a good guy.

Hustlin'...
Fonz - Fonz is good at what he does, a friendly fellow. Doesn't say much, but knows what he does. Even tho he sits at home sleeping almost all day, and doesn't work very much. When he does, he's a real professional.

Onyx - Stand up guy, nuff said right there. This G is true to the hood and his homies.

Benaz - A official Grove Street Families driver. He can drive you anywhere at fast speed, he can avoid cops like noone else. Fast on the pedal , a giant on the trigger and a master at the selling. Ask and he will server. A true G!

• You've finally stept up in life, no more hustlin' and no more dirty work. You're now enjoying the all the riches life has to offer, and finally you are a drug lord of San Andreas. Not only are you a drug lord, but you're a business man. Maybe you own a big business that takes in millions every day, Maybe you own one of the most beautiful houses in all of San Andreas. But the competition is strong, enjoy it while it lasts.
