Well I think the whole Melee weapons thing is out of proportion. Like the knife thing...and an I think $300 golf club? I can go to the Country Club down the street and buy a whole set for that. But I guess since the money proportions in game aren't perfectly realistic, it doesn't matter.

I notice the Knife is 600, and the Katana is 700-750.

In terms of 'real-life' the knife is far overpriced.

However, in terms of 'ingame-usage' the Katana is a far less lethal weapon than the knife. That said, a Tec9 is probably more lethal than either, so I would like to see all Melee weapon prices reduced somewhat, because I just like to carry a Katana or something, so I can defend myself (and look cool  )

I think the weapon prices of things like Tec9 need to be raised from $300 ... but otherwise I dont mind other prices (although sniper is very expensive, only has power of Deagle too).

   Criminals hide in interiors, then they are found and then what? Cops cannot shoot them... they just run around punching. That is not RP. If weapons were allowed in interiors, criminals will sit over door waiting for cops to spawn in front of their sights...

I live in the UK, so I don't know how much guns irl cost. I know an Ak47  cost around £500 in Afghanistan, and will probably about $3000-$5000 in the UK (illegally), but not in America.

Wel being a gangster is dangerous so you really are almost forced to always be armed but since the weapons now save on crash / logoff its not really that big of a deal that some are expensive ..only some extra sniper ammo for the price i wouldnt mind

Prices of weapons have not changed and have been stable since November.
Just because you are no longer able to abuse the script bug is no reason to lower the prices.
Until three weeks ago nobody complained and paid the same prices...

I remember people on TS complaining about the prices of weapons in January, just because no one posts it on the forums doesn't mean people aren't complaining. It has only just become a big enough problem to get to your attention.

Well if u raised the prices to RL prices, the job payments would also have to be higher, I would quite actually like to see this as it would make things like banking ( no, not wanking) and having better job opppertunities. But then it would end up turning into something like Second Life.

Children do not buy legaly own Uzi's in America, a Romanian AK47 costs around $500-$800 At a used gun store.. you need a special license to own a full automatic though. The priceing of firearms in the game is good, buy a cheap Desert Eagle, or Shotgun, normal suspects don't own a M4 assault rifle..

ARPD cops CAN use Uzi to shoot criminals, IF our/someones life is in big danger.

Police Laws (weapon rules)
When the police officer is allowed to use guns:

1) If someone's life, or your (the police officer) life is in direct danger, the police Officer is allowed to open fire without any warning.

   (No matter if the suspect is unarmed; the officer can open fire at him)

2) When the suspect is escaping from a police officer, the officer is allowed to use their gun,  after warning him "stop or i shoot".



When the police officer is NOT allowed to use guns:

3) Against an unarmed attacker, the officer can use only hand to hand combat, or the
   Nightstick.          (except if the situation is like point (1) )
     
4) Do not use firearms against a group (e.g Protestors). Firearms are to be used against a single  suspect provided the weapon usage requirements are met.
 
ARPD Uzi usage

The ARPD officers can not use the ARPD Uzis in normal cases.
In common cases, the ARPD officer must use the basic gear. (Nightstick, Desert Eagle and the shotgun)
Drive by from driver seat is NOT allowed anymore.

- The ARPD officers can not drive by in common car pursuits

- The ARPD officers can drive by when:
  *the suspect's vehicle is much faster then the police cars
  *the suspect is dangerous to the public with his driving.
  *the suspect is reached the highest wanted level. (cop killing)

- When the suspect is heavily-armed, the ARPD officer can use the Uzis against him.

- If the ARPD officer's life is in direct danger against armed suspect(s), he can use the ARPD issue sub-machine guns.

Also, if we should lower the pricese everywhere, we should take away all the money for everyone. 600 is not much to buy one for, and think a sniper IRL. Doesnt that cost much=?

well, dollars of course, and in RL a knife would cost...10$? or maybe more. it is not making it complicated, just making it realistic, but as we all know, if you make a game too realistic - it WILL go wRONg
