Nitro would've helped when you were going up the hill, because when you use Nitro, it does not boost up your speed or so, but it makes it to remain at it's maximum no mater what hill/biome you're going thru.

Yeah, it does not give you more speed than the regular vehicle's speed.

Ex. Infernus without Nitro max speed - 225 KM/H; Infernus with Nitro max speed - 225 KM/H.

It does at time, by only 1 or 2 km/h extra, I have noticed that in Bullet and Turismo :p Also, it can make speed epicly fast if you're driving down a slope, as fast as above 300.

Argo speedometer is weird anyway.. I mean Bullet who is made upon Ford GT goes something like 220 km/h max, while real life twin goes 300-310.

That's because of SA-MP not because of Argonath only.
If you try to play MTA you'll get the same effects as SP
