as some of you might know I am now helping Giacjr with the radio as Co head DJ .. Although I have a lot of ideas etc I have to learn a lot about the technical side
including the password (for the shoutcast server)

So first off if someone could send me the Password for the shoutcast server( IN PM ) I can do some soundchecks etc tonight , maybe start on my own show (i feel the head DJs are DJ s first policy makers second)

I also have an Idea for try outs . What does this mean : simple if you want to be a DJ PROVE you have what it takes, either by sending in a clip of you Dj ing Or we give you time to do it live.

 lots of people want to be a DJ but only putting on a playlist isnt everything. You need to atleast talk a little. This doesnt mean you have to sound like a real DJ (with a basssy voice and all the answers ) but you should atleast put in an effort to talk about some daily things on the server etc maybe have a little story or just tell some jokes (different DJ s have different styles)

I would also like to remind you radio isnt all music and talk about music, maybe you would like to be a newsreader or just make a talkshow ? Sure you are welcome ! put an idea together and either make an topic or PM me (CET timezone(europe ) or Giacjr (Australian and near timezones)

to conlude for now I would like to say we are trying to get the radio to a serious level this means to have Dj on as much as possible and to have active DJs and ofcourse to have diversity

Dave already knows i'm covering Football on Thursday Nights and he said he was cool with that so am starting it this Thursday am only Talking about the Scottish SPL & English Premiership if it goes down well i'll probaly move into Spanish Divisions and Italian.

Here's a tip, chill out. Don't try to hard, only do so when you're getting paid for it. Relax without a care in the world and all comes naturally.

It would be good if when no one is DJing that music will automatically play, and then when a DJ connects it will just switch over to that as a priority over automatic music... but I have a feeling that isn't possible? If it is, that would be cool, more professional

It is possible, you can get a looped intro file. I don't know what the maximul file size of the intro file is but you could put a few songs together and make an intro file out of them.
