Bad news and good news

I would like to write my honest opinion about our French partners, but Gandalf asked me not to swear.
So I have no words to tell you about them.

Good news though is that they will not get us down. I have found new partners that are closer to where I live, and that do give support outside working hours. This week we will be re-opening a better and faster server than we had with those :beep: French. The extra money for it is coming from my pocket so do not be surprised if you see my ads somehwere soon.

Before we open there is one thing. We still have to find a way to get the files of the French server. If we do, we will restore all money. If not... January did not exist.

about the money thing,

Some players and also me have done important things with their money in january (and I changed also my nick).

If it wont work, why not give all players the money that they have earned in January?

You can use the chatlogs as evidence...

It is maybe much work if you have to check all players but it is also very sad if all players will lose so much money....

We will do our best to solve, the problem is that the chatlogs of the server are.... on the server  
When we will be sure the files of January are lost, we could ask players to send us their logs. From guys who are often on server long time like Aragorn we might be able to reconstruct. But we will need logs of the player as well, because chat logs do not record all like server logs.

how about this

as Sauron should have all the logs.. im guessing yes.. take 5 minutes from when January started... and when the Frogs took the server away and copy and paste that time into a new note book... then Upload it onto here... then we all download it give the times when we have gotten money out in Sold Bought Given loaned and so on.. on here.. on 1 Post each.. then Aragorn or another user trustworthy.. will go through and check that all times are Correct and then the Script admins wil change the scripts accordingly and money and houses will be re owned correctly

just put the time and date like it is in the logs dont put the full log screen thanks

when the Frogs took the server away

A bit immature, huh? Seeing as this is a place where people from all different countries gather, I hardly think it's appropriate to start using terms such as 'Frogs' for the French. Sure, there are going to be some hard feelings towards the people responsible for this, but all in all, it is just a game.

If we let people start using these terms, then the same could apply for all countries, which can be considered offensive by some people.
Sure, call them what you will in your own home, but when in a place where people from many different countries gather, keep things like that to yourself.

And you are totally wrong... It is NOT just a game: hosting and negotiations that were between our main admins and servers supporters from France...

I hardly expect such behaviour from russian hosting companies...
And i hardly expect such behaviour from Dutch and German companies...

That is also not a question of money, cos this French server we got by some obstacles...

That is a question of contract, work, support and offline block for 3 days... Without any clear explainings...
For now French guys think what kind of fairy tales to tell to Sauron...

Now we got information that they had a big trouble with their servers...
Yesterday we got information that not only our server was blocked...

I can understand that nothing is perfect in the world, but to shut down server for 3 days without any explaining, that can be professional - no... And no any breaking of the contracts terms we accepted...

So for me - this people are frogs...

The question of server files is still opened...

The fact of the matter is what I said was not directed at you Ron, but at Watti and such. For these people, it is infact just a game. It'd be absurd to consider it anything more. So, sorry to disregard your entire post there, but the fact of the matter is they used a term unsuitable for this forum. I think the only one who has reason to be mad is argonath and the only service the french guys can give us, is giving the server files back!!

It is simple... They do not want to give the logs to hide their action...
Right now there is a real correspondence war between Sauron and French guys as far as I know...

So please be patient...

For me it is the same as russian bear or russian vodka...
And again - he (and others) used the "bad" words ONLY to those who were hosting our server...
And in the light of events - I am totally agree with them...

It cannot be considered as rasizm or nacizm to all France...

They reacted as players... But they have all rights on such comments...
Cos the server is not home only for Sauron, or me and Gandalf...

This is the reason why Sauron fights the french hosters...
Cos he could just brake all contacts and open another server... But he cares about guys and truth...

And guys are also answered not cos they can lose car or house...

I think you should understand it...
