Everybody who lives in USA, Canada or UK! Want a FREE WLAN router?

Check this out: http://www.fon.com/1yearold/

I just noticed this offer a while ago. Same kind of offer was for the Nordic countries last November and December, and that's when I ordered mine for 0€ (including shipping etc)! I haven't used the router very much, since I already have a WLAN access point, but when I tested it, it seemed to work OK.

Some people know the phrase "there's no such thing as a free meal". Well yeah, ordering this free router requires you to share your internet connection with the other FON community members. So if there is a guy near your house with a laptop, he can go to internet by using your FON router if he is a member of FON. The router has two signals, a public one and a secured one, so other FON members cannot access your network.

FON is somekind of company, whose goal is to make free WLAN hotspots all over the worls. To order the free router from FON, you have to register at FON's website. When you have registered, you are also allowed to use FON hotspots that other people have set up all over the world.

Oh and btw, I have no connections to this company so this isn't advertising. I just noticed the offer and thought some guys here would like to have a WLAN access point for free, if they don't have one already.

WLAN isn't a manufactor, it means wireless connection (WiFi). WLAN stands for Wireless Local Area Network.

Btw, after you have received and registered your router at FON website, you will get FON invites, which you can send to your friends and they will also get a FREE router. At the moment I have only one invite, but if I get more, I can maybe send some to Argonath members also (for those who don't live in US, Canada or UK).
