It's time to wake up this old topic. If we plan to arrange a succesful community meeting this year, we should start planning it already.

As most of you know, the previous meeting wasn't so great as there were only 3 people. We had alot of fun though, so I can only imagine how much more fun it would be with a bigger group.

The biggest questions are where and when. We shouldn't only think our own best and vote for our own country as the place for the meeting. We should be realistic and think which is a good place, where it is easy for people to arrive from different countries.

Also the time is important. I guess it's pretty obvious already that the meeting needs to be held during summertime. Last year we were a bit too late, as schools had already started for most of the people.

Let's get some discussion going on!

I can give you some suggestions ... I suggest you make a list of countryes and a vote, so people can chose. I really hope I can come this summer on the meeting and meet you guys ... that would be fun

 So, I suggest Greece. It is in Europe and everybody can go there. As I don't have 18 years, I can't go anywhere else exept in Greece without a passport ... My passport expired, so I will have to get another one if it is in a diffrent place.

 For time ... I suggest July .. 15-20 of July, I think it is the most proper time for that kind of meeting

I'll suggest Turku, Finland. It's in the coast which is beautiful and sunny in the summer, and it has great connections by boat from Stockholm etc.. Well PLUS I live there :P Or you guys could come to Naantali, which is also in the coastal area near Turku. There's this theme park called Moominland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moomin_World) And I'll be working there most of the summer. It is and ideal meeting place as there are a lot activities and I will be getting free tickets so I'll get you guys in for free =) . Though hotels in finland are expensive and all, but there is the possibility of sleeping in a tent in camping area

I would suggest the UK. It's cheap and convienient to fly there from any European country.

Yeah, well I don't think people will start traveling to a whole different region (unless they are crazy and got too much money of course :cool:).

One idea would be to arrange separate meetings in each region at the same time (for example one meeting in the U.S., one in Europe and one in Australia). Then we could set some webcam and voice links between each meeting, and that way bring everybody together .

And guys, stop just throwing place names into air! We need some suggestions with detailed arguments. If we have a big group of people, we need to think about alot of things like accommodation, food, activities etc.
