Hello,
I just want to let you know im going to retire from the ARPD Deputy Chief position either this weekend or next weekend. (Im going to leave the SAMP server altogether). Im also goin to leave the =AV= clan unless they would like to keep a very inactive member!
Argonath was very different when i first joined, roughly August 2006. There was only one server, MTA:VC, and saying Vice City was my favourite game i joined the community to see what it was all about.
I was in the server for about 2 minutes and swore, which ended up getting me kicked. I was angry, came on server again and said something bad to Aragorn. I knew something bad was gonna happen as everyone started warning me i shouldn't have done that. I got temp banned for 15 minutes as a result but by then i realised what i had done and i don't think i have been kicked ever since! MTA VC back then was good, full server at times, and a choice of only 5 skins i think. Everyone called me a noob for the first week or so but i learned how to RP and people soon respected me after 2 weeks or so!
The scripts were VERY limited but that was how i learned RP, with the /me command. The bank got robbed every 10 minutes which led to a big shootout outside. Most of the time the chases will end in either the Hotel, Malibu, the offices downtown, or..the mansion. It was repetitive but the community back then was excellent, and i learned a lot from the people
I made a topic..my first post i think, which i may put on here later, about making VCPD organised (this was before ARPD). How times change. I remember there was a stage..maybe the first one or 2 months of the SAMP server, where i was the unofficial leader of DPD with a few cops (Rodriguez, Brian_OConner 'Hawkeye') before a chief for DPD was designated. That went to my =AV= buddy Dave..he lasted a few months then basically had enough and gave me the chief position even though i hadn't applied or anything yet. Then i gave the job to a deputy 'Luca_Scalise' when i had enough. He turned out to be the ARPD Cheif after a while.
During that time i was non ARPD and was a Co-leader of AV. I left that position to create A little Scarface-esque group called '
Esmeraldas Cubanas' with the clan tag [EsC] who drove about in yellow cars and had 'turf' in Marina. We specialised in making the best use of the /me command by shipping in cocaine, storing it in warehouse, keeping records of cocaine amounts and selling 10g of it for 1k. We made about 200k within that period.
I then became a trial admin, who was still on trial actin the big man warning people when one day, i got teleported to grove street to see RON, in a grove skin, standing with car explosions and gunfire going off everywhere from
noobs new people. "I didnt think id do this but"
**Admin level changed to level 2 "Cool i can ban people!". I banned someone shortly afterwards which led to them accusing me of banning them without reason to which i took a header..ill put the link to that topic here if i can find it!
Then i went back to AV again, and somehow persuaded Luca_Scalise who was Chief at the time to give me the SFPD Chiefs position. I even made a poster and a booklet for the SFPD Officers at the time. That lasted about 3 days before everything got merged and i got the Deputy Chiefs position.
The reasons for me leaving are that i spent a considerable amount of years on the server to take my mind of the work and expectations in school and gave me something to do in my spare time. I finished my A Levels today and i finished 7 years at school so i feel its time to move on in more respects. Now i will work on my video making and will hopefully have a few videos uploaded onto YouTube. My A level results come in the door in August and this will determine whether i get into university or not. If i get into university ill be doing Computer Science and if a dont get in ill do to the Tech and do a Computer course there (good money so im told).
It has been a privilege working with you guys and hopefully ARPD will continue to improve, especially with the /copban command being introduced (hopefully). There have been highs and lows, especially recently, but i know it will improve. I may stop by forums from time to time to see how things are going and if you need any help i can help you. I might even drop ingame once or twice to see how you are getting on!
Anyway, thanks for reading this and being decent people, especially the Chiefs and Captains of ARPD, my old [EsC] friends, and all the original =AV= guys you've made my experiences enjoyable. Also to all the people i have spoken to and got on well with during my time

'That' FBI incidentI assembled an FBI team to conduct surveillance on a mafia meeting at Bayside, the events of which lead to a massive war at the 'FBI HQ' at the time, LV Planning Offices. The fight involved 20 players at least and lasted about 45 minutes with people re arriving after they had been killed! This was before the current reorganisation of ARPD and FBI
