I believe in facts.. not something a really old due wrote down in a bigass book which is basically a fantasy novel..
If God really existed.. he'd be a stupid guy.. apparently he creates his perfect world.. and then created us..
we are so IMPERFECT that we could not have possibly been made from something perfect.. God is just
an easy answer for people who can't be bothered to do the research to find out the true start of life...
Does that mean all people who believe in him are lazy, and can't be bothered? No.. it just means that
they are taking the easy way out.. do some research based on facts.. see what you find.

I also find that religion is just mind control " Hey.. do all of this shit listed here.. if you don't follow this.. you're a sinner and get to burn in eternal flames.. w00t! "

I do believe in God, But what I said on my post was just questions I had about some of Christianity stuff, With that I am not saying that I dont believe in God. I believe in him...

I believe in God, But sometimes I have several questions on my head which sometimes make me doubt a bit, Like:

- If God is a very nice person, and he is the Good itself, and we are his sons, then why he let this world to be so corrupt and let that the 90% of people be bad?

-If God is really the ruler of this world, Why he let Satan destroy and corrupt his "beautiful creation"?

-Why he just make the bad people go to hell and suffer eternally when Bible says that God love all of us? Yea the bad people should be punished yea, but not in a "hell" eternally :S, Like a father torturing his son forever, wounding him to death everyday, because he just did a bad thing, and then using the excuse: "I do this for your best, Son."

So, I can't say No, But I can't say 100% yes, Maybe God really exists, Maybe not. So I will just vote "Yes", As I can not say that I do not believe in God 0%, I do believe in him, but have these questions still

god gives us a choice.

But, yeah I believe in God. I was raised a Catholic, and I still am. But, im not the perfect Catholic.
I dont go to Church EVERY sunday but, I go Every other sunday.

I think religion is the biggest scam ever

I do agree with maxy in his vieuws and would like to ad that I think religion came about as a way to keep the peace in the old days (verrrrrry long ago)and to soften teh fact that we die 'ow well If you follow my rules and live like this and this you wont die' sounds like fantasy to me

Where I live people are Catholic and as such I was also "taught" to be one ..not that my mother was a believer but it "just was how it goes'

I love how people confronted with questions about god always are told the same bs storry (no offence) "God gave us free choice and doesnt interfere with evil we need to ourselves" so basically he did a lousy job and now is sitting back enjoying how we are strugling ? nice 'father'

Its also verry funny how most holy books were writen by people who did so on visions they got after starving themselves by staying in the desert without food,
and we believe everything even now??!! ..but if I would do the same proclaim myself the next profet I woul get locked up in a paded room where's the logic in THAT ?

Now I do like some of the values religion has like be kind to eachother and the typical "thou shalt not kill" etc but I dont need fear of the SUpreme GOD to live like a decent person

Id say that the budists have the best take on religion. ...as they never force it on ANYONE (ever hear of a Budah terrorist?) most other faiths do have those idiots but ill stop here oh one thing if you believe and feel offended dont say anything ..GOD will punish me , right?  :devroll:

I don't either, i believe we had a topic like this not too long ago and i'll say the same thing. This is not aimed at anyone in particular by the way.

I think if there is a God of any sort he could spare 5 minutes every year to come make an announcement. Think of all the bloodshed that could be stopped if God showed up and went "No! Bad extremist! Don't do that!" I think if there is was such a benevolant creator he could and would do something to stop people killing each other in his name. He can't be sitting there thinking "This is pretty sweet, everyone likes me so much they keep killing other people for me, i've got it made!" And if he does think like that, that's not anything i'd want to be part of.

I understand the morals and the message of belief in a God and I guess the fear/crowd control afforded by the thought of a pit of fire etc. but I like to think of it like this, just as Iggy mentioned, if i went out into the wilderness and told everyone a man in the sky talked to me, and said i would suffer for eternity if I didn't do what he said then i'd be straight to the crazy house. However if I go "No wait actually, it was God" not only to I get out of the crazy house, i'll probably get a bunch of people following me as the next prophet.

If you can't see the flaw in that system then I admire the strength of your belief and I hope you're right, remember everyone, six major religions, you can't all be right, did you pick the right one?
