I am Athiest because due to a few things in the world combined with a few things in the bible i have decided that the existence of a god is completely impossible.

1. A lot of shit happens - If there was a god he would stop it
2. A lot of people don't believe in God - If god existed he would have absolute power over everything and therefore people's minds and he would make people believe in him.
3. Where the f**k is he?
4. Gay Sex is meant to be unnatural - now i myself may not be gay but i believe strongly that what is less natural than gay sex is no sex at all. Get laid people!

I will answer your questions.

1. God lets shit happen so that we can become stronger. Sure, God loves us, but he didnt make our life 100%
 nice intentionally, for some reasons beyond our understanding.

2. A lot of people dont believe in God because he chose not to. God isn't all arrogant and 'I AM GOD!'-ish, so
 he wouldnt control our minds. He gave us FREEDOM OF CHOICE, because he loves us. He's not like some
 people who would control the world to follow them 100%, thats why he has thinking MUCH, MUCH more
 advanced than ours.

3. God is everywhere, he sees all things. Yes, that means eyesight that's way better than Sauron. The trees,
 the people, the two gay homos masturbating in the bathroom together, God sees it all.

4. Well, what then? Let those gays fuck each other until the end of the world, God will send them into the
 fires of doom after.

LOOK: God purposely caused events which led to the coming of Evil into this world (Not TeaM-Evil, lol!).
Without evil, there would be no good. It's a balance and will stay a balance until the feared
Armageddon.

No, I do not believe in God.. Why? Well tell me one good reason to do believe in him/her, there's never been solid proof that he/she even exists so why should I believe that he/she exists or that he/she is truly a God?
What's even the true meaning of a God..? As the bible says, God is here to make peace and all that bullcrap, then tell me why is the world so fucked up if God is here to help us?

-Shows the nature of Man and his Creator
-Has a perfect explanation on Origin of all things
-Shows what happens to someone after they die

Science:
-Has no explanation for what's at the bottom of the Big Bang Theory
-Has no definite explnation of the World's ultimate origin
-Is created by Man, whose understanding capabilities are... low.
-Lacks a good explanation on the World Beyond

But the Creationists and the Atheists have their views.
And which one will prevail: Only time will decide.

I'd rather take my chances that God just might be  real and go to hell, then spend my life believing what I personally feel to be a lie.

I'd rather not spend my life doing all that holy stuff and then realise there isn't anything - though, to be honest, I wouldn't be able to "realise" it.

Concerning the afterlife - that is something which I feel people need to believe in, to give comfort in death. Like many things in religion, the teaching itself is correct, and is a good thing to believe in/do. The fact I don't believe the story behind the teachings should not influence whether I follow them or not.

I did see this earlier but i didnt respond then cuz i wanted to see a few opinions before i posted mine...
Some ppl have thrown the obvious question - "If God is a such a great guy, why is he doing this, why didnt he stop this, why did he throw ppl in Hell etc"...My Answer(though it may not be satisfactory) is that its you get what you did. They way you see it, you may not have done anything wrong but its cuz u did something that u go thru shit. Then again there are some ppl who are noble souls but still shit ahppens - there the touchy subject of your past life comes into play but i aint saying anything abt that cuz its real touchy.
Some ppl may think - "this guy is archaic! past life? wtf!!" well, its my belief. I do read the scriptures and it aint a "big fatass book" written by some one who "cudnt do research". It does contain stuff which tells ya on how to go about life, abt doing things you should and things you shouldnt, abt being nice to people etc, learning to pray etc
The second obvious statement - "I see and believe". You all believe in birth yes? thats why you are here. Thats why you are reading this. My question to you - Has anyone suceeded in figuring out what energy generated life within your parents? You wouldnt - its beyond anyone's reach to understand God. What enegy makes a huge tree from a lil seed? What makes it sprout and go up and then wither away and die? Sure, science would say photosynthesis, oxygen, energy etc but what made it use these elements or processes? Answer - God. Again, people may say "whis guy is saying 'God' to everything for which he doesnt have an answer"....I believe in him. Do you have another answer to what I asked?

Certain holy scriptures in my religion talk about our existence in this age...about things we really can do to lead a healthy and wholesome life and not having to suffer shit...and even if you do suffer shit to actually realise why it is happeneing and not believe that its God who is casting an evil eye on you. I believe that everyone has an element of God in them. What else makes your heart beat? Yes, blood is necessary but no amount of blood will a heart beat if its not meant to be...sometimes CPR works, sometimes it doesnt - It doesnt always work, so now you know where I am getting at...
Religion is not for ppl to scream and say "Hindus are Hindus, Moslems are Moslems and the two cannot be friends!!" Its for you to lead a disciplined life. Some ppl say that Christians worship the cross and Hindus have a million gods and that Muslims pray in the direction of Mecca. Well such symbols/idols are in place so that human beings could actually learn to worship...you begin there and then you slowly realise that God is there. Think about this - One minute a person is playing Superman...then he falls off a horse in a freak accident and reamins paralysed till he dies. However strong science can make you, you could lose it all in one second. If you wanna lift your hand up right now, you could. But know that in a second, it could stop responding to your brain. No science could bring it back to life.. - the reasons for this are too massive for us as human beings to understand.
And yes, it is obvious - I believe in God, I beleieve in my religion and I respect all religions . :alert"

1. "Seeing is Believing"? What a load of shit. Srsly. Slap your face. Do you see the pain? NO, but you feel it.

2. "Big Bang Theory"? You gotta be kidding me. Do you think that we all came by chance? NO.

3. "Religion is a load of claptrap, there is no God!"? Bulls**t! Who do you think made us and all? Who do you
 think prevents this world from becoming 100% fucked up? Who do you think made us lucky enough so that

I agree with those who say that the Bible and any other Holy books of religions are trying to give a guide on how to live life.
But I disagree with that the origin stories are a 'perfect explanation'.
The Bible is a mix of advise and old myths, written by people who had much less knowledge of our world then we have today. It is based on the same books as the Torah and the Qu'oran, and shares stories with other religious documents of the same area and time. If you compare, Gods were much more active in daily life in those times. Not because they were, but because there were many more questions unanswered as today.
It seems to scare the hell out of many people to say 'I do not know the answer'. Especially people who are leaders, and are expected have an answer all the time. There for the 'I do not know' is replaced by 'It is God'. After all nobody can question or understand God.

As soon as anything that we have discovered on our origin needs to be changed because of a conflict with the Bible, I will choose the discovery over the Bible story. It does not invalidate religion, it just gives an answer that we previously did not know and there for attributed to supranatural powers. So far there is nobody who has been able to prove or disprove any God from existing. The only thing we are certain about is that we do not know all the answers.

When I was little I was hardcore christian, but now its different, as I grew up, I see different things, my mom used to say "God's people will be blessed"
My grandfather died due to car crash, he was christian, is that a blessing? My gradmother died, is that a blessing? My aunt died, is that a blessing?

After these things, I was unsure of how God really works, so I decided, I still believe in God, but I wont rely on him for everything, I'll to things my way and only my way.

About prayer: I tested a theory about praying top milk jug, that  find a dollar on the floor, I found it the next day, is that power of prayer? If not, explain these things.
