MTA Problem

This is really starting to piss me off  :mad:

MTA will not start Vice City. Nothing pops up when you click "Start Game" but the error sound is heard. I have reinstalled MTA 10 times, reinstalled Vice City 3 times and tried a different torrent download. Nothing WORKS at all.

But I am able to play Vice City single player without any problems at all, but MTA won't let me. I have spent 4-5 hours trying to fix this.  :help:

Please find a solution, and thanks in advance.


P.S. Could it conflict with the new graphic card drivers? I am forced to download these drivers since the games are terrible, with like 20fps on Counter-Strike. The new OMEGA drivers for ATI X1300 Graphics Card (PCI) solved the problems and I was able to run Counter-Strike: Source over 40fps with med-high settings.

I can play VCMP flawlessly, so MTA is not working. Any suggestions?

I Know some people might think this is wrong, but try using the MTA No CRC, it may work. If you want to try it, tell me on MSN

...  Try updating to SP2, that worked for me when I had windows XP.

Nah, I think its something to do with his XP, this is why I say Vista is better, the only reason people say its crap is because they don't know how to get things to work. SO auto think its vista.

You tried to delete the files you got in Documents*GTA Vice City user files?

Not active in-game anymore, checking forum from time to time.

I deleted everything in the Vice City User Files. I tried making Vice City and MTA compatible with Windows 98...



If you're thinking about windows reinstall or reformatting, it's out of question. I'm not going that far to try to fix a simple game like this.


If all else fails, I'm moving to VCMP Argonath RPG whenever I like it or not. The new version is coming out so we should move to VCMP soon, if the crashes are less than before...
