any ideas on how to get me playing again?

all of my games on my computer will all do this:

freese, audio will stop than everything will continue again like nothing happened but my GTA games did it so bad that it would happen every 5 secconds so if anyone knows how to fix it or has any ideas i would really appreciate it, thanks

open task manager and check how many processes are running and what they use in memory and processor.
Close down anything you do not need.
Check for spyware running.
