HL2 Episode 2 content in GMOD WITHOUT having Episode 2 GCFs?

I wouldn't think so.

The likely thing is that the closest you'll ever get without buying Episode 2 is downloading it (*cough*-legally), but since you (assumedly) have GMod on Steam thats clearly no good.

I don't think you can mod that much stuff in, but you never know. I haven't personally tried it myself.
My best guess, probably have to buy episode 2.

You can't have any illegal games, such as DLing CSS and trying to run it in Gmod.
They will not work, trust me I've tried.

Try www.garrysmod.org and you can download lots of things from there if you do not have games.

No you need to buy it, having it pre-loaded doesn't even work. It doesn't even cost that much on steam store.

Unfortunately no, you have to purchase the games from steam, such as TF2 to be able to use them in Gmod.
What it does is, it reads some kind of file that's loaded in when you've purchased it, and it scans your account to see if you've purchased the game also.
When you try and load a non-steam game, it's like "Whoa man, you ain't gettin' past me" and blocks it out.

Yes, download it, then play it for a bit.
Then go into Gmod and try and get them.
