Guys, I have no idea what's been going on...please enlighten me with forum PMs, I am VERY confused

I have closed/re-opened this group so many times now that sometimes I wonder "is it worth it?" "Is it worth my sanity to keep this group free from people who can't roleplay properly?" "Is it worth any of it?"

Well I realised today - it's not

I spend a long time getting the image of this group right - then people ruin it by arguing publicly or getting banned for silly reasons...what has happened?!

In a few days I will be known on the server as a scripter (hopefully, assuming every main developer agrees with the decision) which means I will get constant PMs etc about bugs and problems...can I listen to them while managing a group? NO! I can't! Especially when people don't do as they're damn well told...

Giovanni for example, and YES, I will bring this up - the other day I asked him to change out of hobo skin, he is high rank and must wear a black or grey suit like EVERY OTHER MEMBER. What reply do I get? I get stupid replies like "no, I like this skin" and "leave me alone"

It's my group, I make the decisions here - if I say wear the right clothes as stated ON THE TOPIC then you should do so...

What I suggest

Here's a solution which works for everyone:

I close the group down - the whole thing, all members kicked, all [Z] forums deleted, everything GONE forever!

This means, GIOVANNI that you can't just say "I will keep my tag, I will run this place if you leave" because it's MY GROUP and always has been, I can just REMOVE the [Z] tag from the server protection by asking main developers - I have every right to, I close my group I have right to decide whether or not to completely abolish it

This works WELL for me and for everyone else...why you ask?:

1. I can dedicate MUCH more time to admin work

2. I can dedicate MUCH more time to develop the server

3. I can dedicate MUCH more time to helping players

4. I can save just a scrap of my sanity - you people drive me up the wall with your silly arguments. And yes, some of you really annoy me. Giovanni for example, I kick you off the server as an ADMINISTRATOR and you say "screw this, I leave [Z]"

Other reasons such as people asking for money from me - what the hell? This is a ROLEPLAYING group. We make money in jobs, yes...but it's part of the group - we don't just say "wait a second, [RI] get 60k a week plus, why don't we do that?" because that is NOT THE REASON for joining groups

Unless you people come up with a good method of keeping the group WITHOUT offering to lead it yourselves, I close it down completely


No flaming me, no begging me to keep it open, no ridiculous attempts to make me change my mind - you need to think of very valid reasons, as I have dedicated so much of my time for you people and all you do is ruin it for me and everyone else

You are lucky I am giving you people even a chance to make a difference to my decision - I have a lot of work ahead of me...

I don't see myself in [Z] without David, if you are too close down, I am grateful that you gave me a chance to join [Z], its been a awesome ride, and I will always look back at it with pride.

I certainly enjoyed the roleplay we had in the group, I'm not sure about everyone else, but I enjoyed being part of a great group.

Save yourself the trouble of managing something that really isn't going no where.

As you've just said yourself, you want to dedicate yourself to the server; do that.

Personally, I feel the Zaibatsu Corporation has low skilled members (not you, others).. I see this group has a fair amount of history.. however it's better for you to just close it down.

You're tieing yourself back by not using your full potential as an admin.

I have decided to close the Zaibatsu Corporation, this time forever unless somehow in the future I get free time to roleplay and want to re-open it

I WILL miss it, but I have to close it NOW and not let anyone else control it - main reason is that I don't want another ALS incident...

ALS were the single best roleplaying group in Argonath for 2-3 years, then Haldir and Jcstodds left. I am not saying the new leaders were bad, I am just saying that things went downhill from there. If I give the group to someone else, it will be be known as a great success any more


I hope you all know that I am sorry to those who did like us, but look on the bright side - more development, more admin work, more everything for the server

This is for the greater good


I will give all [Z] members 7 days from now to change their names before I start advising in-game to just do it - I will leave this topic open until I say so, and when it is locked I never want it trashed
