From Vice City I remember how long we were chasing a guy without map and radars... That was just a chase game between us, but 3 cops could NOT find the object, even if he passes next street...

Obviously the radar would be enabled in police chases, and would stay on as long as the suspect is "near enough".

Maybe if it was a 200 slot server, and only LS activated, we could easily turn the radar off and RP but alas, we need it to know where the action is ect...

Actually your suggested radar system will not work at SA:MP cos the map is too huge...
But if you want to try it on yourself, we can remove radars from second server and you will try to catch me as much as you want...

Isn't there something like !area in SAMP? That will help you locate the criminal, and once you get to an chase distance the radar will be put back on with all the blips. Problem solved.

Yeah - locate a criminal in Mulholland and go there to search for him...
Also can try to locate something like "Flint County", and go to search the whole area...

You can also sit in a car and only use !area, to see which direction from Flint County the criminals goes...
Also you can try to trace those who go in interiors (shops, houses)...
Cos from the map you can sometimes be sure, the guy went right to Ammunation, cos u saw his dot and its disappeared... Without radars you will never see it... and interior area always says "unknown"...

Then the cops get the information and searches him..

And it Would be more RP if you need to patrol more..


if mole got a mission the Blip will come on the radar for everyone.
So there will be 1 blip when a mission comes.
The blip of a fightclub, car, or something

IT is not easy to script but its possible.
There should be civilian jobs like detective then.
More civilians you will have, More RolePlay, More Roleplay Chases.
More use of detective job in a chase then.

Aragorn you can just think about the idea good.
You will get more RP if you think about this idea.

ITS a big Difference if you Do at options.
Radar off.

IF you try to chase with options radar off.
You will get confused.
But if the script get blips deleted.
Then you see where you drive. and try to hold eye contact to the suspect if you lose your problem..

Its how it goes in Real life!

i know that, but still, you will see what its like because u can only use Shight and your knowlage for SA, really i dont like this idea because it REALLY will TAKE 3 or more hours to find a suspect.

It will not make deathmatch less, as deathmatchers do not use radar as well... Just shoot the first they found out...

In the "ghost" city cops even will not know WHERE to patrol, WHOM to check... They can be lucky only in Los Santos... When criminal leaves Los Santos - forget about any chase, go eat donuts and wait when some car will pass you...

As those who wanna be wanted will not see blips of cops, they will be happy to find some of them and start attract attention (ramming, shooting, etc.)...

Those who wanna try to live and work without radars - we can give them other server - so they will understand that noone will spend on one chase more then one hour without even actually target there...
