i can't handle it, i'm Traffic POlice officer, i pull over somebody for speeding, ramming and they carkill/kill me for no reason.. what shall i do? ask surrender or not shoot right away? or let him commit his traffic crimes?
What is my role inside the server if i even can't Rp a simple traffic stop?

Roleplaying will be harder now than before indeed, that's why I think we need alot more admins and also opening the admin application again. Otherwise; it's offical, it's great. And as Inko said, it'll all steady out.

hello Argonath,

Today i saw we were back official Server, i have been carkilled/killed/DM/.... after being logged in for 5 minutes...
The last time we were official, the server was full with alot of rookies who do NOT know the Word Role Play, who do not know to NOT flood, NOT to hack,....

According to your forum profile you joined here in July 2008. As most players join shortly after they start playing, there is a good chance that you were not around last time. Or that you 'had' to change your name because of your behavior.

We expected that a number of regular players would not be happy, as the LS part of the server will be crowded with new players who do not know what to do.
Last time it proved to be a boost in players going to other parts of San Andreas instead of hanging around LS. I hope this time it will be the same.
Regarding lag, we will be checking the situation and monitoring the server. Both the processor values and ping are acceptable, if they will not be we will bring down the slots.
However that may cause people not to be able to connect and we try to avoid that.

I think it's kinda cool that the server became official again, sure it is fucking annoying to get rammed, insulted, DMed and abused 24/7, but hey, after 1-2 months all of us will know that it was a good step, I am sure the community will gain loads of new RPers.
Nico Toscani / RaSgo, look, San Fierro is still a ghost town, just go there and I am sure nobody will disturb you, more veterans could come to San Fierro or a little village in the desert, it can be really cool, believe me.

I totally changed my mind:

I went back in the server and found: The chat was as usual, no chaos!
There were less people in the server
Less DMing / hacking / carkilling

In this condition I have no problems! i even made some new friends
And a lot of them are good RPers, they only need to get the rules told, what i done to some of them

Its good this way, and well done admins !

I dont agree with this idea. I want it to be official we will be more popular. Well if you see a dmer or a guy who needs help try to help him so he learns. Even you dmed at the begining but learned. Thats whats all about. just tell them please dont carkill its against the rules if you need i can help you. say that to him. And he will stop or ask for help if he doesnt just try using /report [id] [reason] if admins dont do anything its because maybe they are busy or they dont have proof to kick/ban/warn them. In some time this server will be with no dmers cause people will learn. Everbody learns. Also Gandalf,Aragorn,Gimli,Sharpis,Crimson,Legoles all learned they didnt know all stuff at the begining. And maybe they all dmed and the begining like people in argonath now. They will learn dont wory just give them some time. Some of them wont like argonath and will leave and some of them will like argonath and learn to roleplay. You just need to help them out. They will be good rpers some of them that you complain on them. Some of them that you complain on them they will be better rper's then you or Aragorn or Gandalf. Just Give them time and they will learn.

Last time we became official joined almost 50% of the current SA:MP admin team (not sure if the statistic is correct, but I am sure it is close enough...)
This certainly means that not only good roleplayers were attracted to the server, but stable and experienced players, who do not rulebreak and follow and enforce all rules of the server.

Last time we became official - same moaning and shouting to get the server off list... There were 3 waves of new admins just to keep server clean and normal. Players complain they have no time for roleplay? Look at admins - all the time reports and flame, rulebreak and deathmatch, hacking and moaning... Think if they will have time to roleplay?
Think also if they won't work their asses off for the new and regular players, so then can learn (newcomers) and play normally and calm (regular players).
Did any admin complain - no...

You have to think not only for yourself ... if you want to roleplay normal - go to San Fierro and roleplay there. You won't be able to see new players' "spam" and "flood" and you will have normal time.
If you want to be a good Argonath regular and help the community - go in the "newcomers hell" and start trying to help admins and teach players... Ofcourse, it's not your job to do it and nobody can tell you to, but only thing is going to happen - the process of newcomers learning and becomeing regulars will speed up...

i can understand the concerns of the vets of argonath, but i think that it will boost the community numbers and also have a positive effect on the reputation of argonath, as more people will see why its such a great server to play on

Couldnt be arsed to read all the pages, anyway, BURN IN HELL. Let it stay official. We got plenty of new rp'ers from last time we were official. Also, we got admins to deal with rulebreakers. DMers will get pissed after bein kicked all the time anyway and will eventually leave. Also, do not like to be dm'ed or carkilled? Move to more quiet places, this will probably get San Fierro, Las Venturas or any country sides more populated which again is great! I totally cant support this. Official ftw.

Remember you were newcommers too and dmed, hacked, flammed, and sh1t. And then some people helped you to roleplay, and became a good RPer. That should happen with the newcomers.
