Should Argonath RPG have a GTAU:MP server?

Maybe :3 That looks cool, and it has only few servers finding players there can be fast and easy.

Andre9977, one of the old friends of Argonath, is a developer/betatester in that rising mod... I don't think having a server there is a good idea

Developer? Then I have suspicious thoughts about quality of the developers team there... Or they have no idea what is Andre and give statuses in personal likes...

Anyways my opinion - we should move already far and not stick only to VC and SA modifications...
They are getting old and boring...
Servers we have ATM is enough for GTA multiplayer community of Argonath...

Soon will be GTA IV, new Real Life RPG game, so thats a priority I would like to see in developing of Argonath future...

Right, Liberty City and Vice City are next to each other, some skins have been converted and there are the VCPD and LCPD Cop cars and some Gang Cars. But what is more cool than VC and LC next to eachother with SA engine? haven't you always wanted to fly from one another?

Some stuff in Singleplayer are: Ferry rides to LC and VC and the chance to fly in the Vice City Blimp plus some cool hidden easter eggs.

And no you cannot figure out the name of the new game until it will not reach the beta test...

As for GTAU:MP it is not a new game, its a multiplayer based on maps from games of 5-7 years old...
As we already have VC and SA in 4 types of multiplayer: MTA:VC, VC:MP, MTA:SA and SA:MP I do not see a big reason to waste a time on a new modification of the same games...

So as for Argonath - hardly we will join this project...

In November will go out GTA IV so better we will work out this way... Moving forward and not on 5-7 years into the past...

But as you know, SA:MP is far out the best in the features...

with MTA:VC and VC:MP, you can't do the same SA:MP can, so GTAU:MP can be usefull for the people that want the SA:MP features also on Vice City and Liberty City.

I doubt there are many people who wanna play VC and LC...
LC servers are all empty, VC are running on 100 players for both types...

And hardly there is something omg that can turn people from SA and GTA IV and run to the VC and LC versions...

besides it more smarter to develop future then sit on old games... At least wasting of time on NEW games worth of it...

If people dont like VC or LC cuz of the engine, and like more SA, maybe its like VC/LC with SA engine? :P

And also more space to roleplay, and plane thingy will be ALOT more realistic (IMO), and PROBLABLY more ways to get $$$, etc...

I always wanted to play LC and VC at the same time, without BOTH games opened...
For multiplayer, without both games opened, but seeing all people around... :banana:

What is GTAU ?

It is a mod where people have added buildings from VC and LC to the map of SA.
This is possible by modding the GTA:SA single player game.

To make it multiplayer, they have changed the SA:MP code to recognize another size of the base files, so it would not crash like SA:MP normally does on modded GTA:SA maps.

Basicly, that is all.

My views on this are that if Argonath have GTA:U MP server then the community would just get even bigger and more popular because: People who already play U:MP will visit the server, think "oh this is an awesome server!" visit the website and so on... then we will have people from vice city who are fed up with drowning getting SA and the mod and they will visit and all that... and i mean... Argo RPG in Liberty City... OH F***ING YES! The mafias have the perfect places to hang out  And then there will be Airlines to get people from LC to VC and possibly even trading routes and stuff... Epic RPG! It just seems like the best thing in the world to get Argo on the GTAU:MP map.

EDIT: I just got this thing working and the only server i could find working was empty and badly scripted... anyone know a good server?

GTA:U MP community is building on SA:MP community... So I have no idea where from you expect more people... From LC? none plays it... From VC? they already know Argonath... It can more decrease Argonath community but not increase...

Aragorn, we don't even know if GTAU:MP will be an hit or not...

I just tested it out, GTA:U is great, GTAU:MP doesn't work for me.

The best thing you can do Aragorn is waiting if GTAU:MP will be an winner, will it be, then you can say if it still "decrease" the Argonath community.
