A DDoS Attacker ´?!

heres an attack at 11:54pm EST

it could be fake clients, when a client connects and obtains 999 ping the server waits a certain amount of time before closing that connection.

aka, they send fake bots what quit right away then they stay for a while.


this could be the problem.

the hacker attacked again.... first he spammed something like "this server sucks" and claimed to be some guy named oliamar or something i cannot remember

he had bots
after his spam he crashed the server

The Temporary one doesn't work for me and the main one just has 0/0 slots and 9999 Ping.....

This is not a ddoser who attacks official servers... As DDOSer comes from Argentina, and this bots are our old friends from Australia...
With Australian bots we'll deal... With Argentinian DDOSer too, just be patient a lil...

Australian botter has only one route to join server which was unblocked 2-3 days ago... So thats not a big problem to set his last route to blocked again...

Its normal... They have nothing to do anymore... As they continue attacks even after route unblock means one thing: they hate Argonath, but Argonath is still cool... If we were really crappy server - hardly they would attack us... So just take it as a popularity "award"... Microsoft is under attacks every days... None any other has that... This is popularity's second side...

The point is to set negative to players against Argonath RPG... Trying to make the server owners to shut down Argonath RPG portal... In this case they look from their position... As if there will be someone who disturbs their servers with bots what will they do... From their position they will shut down servers... This is what they think we will do also...

People are different... Some do not want to damage others developing, others wanna screw everything others do cos they cannot manage the same... Usually aggression comes from people with mental instability and feeling of being a loser... From this feeling they actually do not understand that someone can come and damage their house cos as losers they feel that they have nothing to lose more then they already lost... Communism with its Red Revolution was based on the same...

This attacks makes us as community only more stronger, I think.
People are helping eachother these days, and we better contacts.

These days, with our attacks, I see a lot of people talking: "We are attacked again!" , just when there is some hacker in the server.

When there is a hacker on, this dont mean it's an attack

When there is an attack, you wont see this in main chat.
DDoS can only be recognised by unstable high / low ping , pingdrops etc.
The admins know when there is an attack been, and they will solve it all the time, dont worry.
So there is no need to post that there is an attack again.
The attackers are from Argentina like Aragorn said, and the bots from Australia.

Posting a new topic of it is useless, and will only 'create' more confusion then there already was, and it's spam.
This is also 'spam' , but I posted this to let some people of u know the difference between 'attack' and 'bot'

The bots can be recognised by 'strange names' and loads of new players joining in some second.
But can spam message like 'This server sucks' or something like that.
But there are most time admins online who kick them, banning is unpossible cause the bots are not players, and they will clean the server when possible.
Also creating a topic of bots is not needed

I hope I informed some people enough with this.

(This is not an action to be a wannabe admin, I made this to inform people and tell my annoying of all the topics)

Actually there is a easy way to prevent the spam , 2 players change name to the bot names during the attack, then they wont be able to connect... But well
