SA Problem/Vista CD Drive Problem/Setup.exe

Hi there,

     well the problem is that over the last few weeks I've been having some problems. The main problem started out with me using the legit CD version of SA and trying to connect to Argo. After I would double click it would sometimes say "I can not determine your version. sa-mp supports v. 1.00 only" or "Wrong disc inserted re try." or "No disc inserted re try." After re logging/restarting windows it would usually work though.

     Now about a week later I installed 0.2X SAMP and tried the no cd patch for SA, to see if it would work. After successfully installing that I tried to connect to Argo but nothing happened. It shown about 1 second of the loading symbol and stopped. I tried putting back in the original gta_sa and putting in the CD yet that did the same thing. As a last resort I tried to re install SA all together but when I clicked the un install through the "AutoPlay" or through Add Remove Programs it will show the "Windows wishes to continue" "Desinged by Demo soft" and after that "Steup.exe has stopped working."

and won't let me un install GTA SA...Which seems to be a problem now  :hit:

First of all SA-MP doesn't support SA v2.0 so am guessing you bought V2.0 of SA, so just apply a downgrader patch and you'll have V1.0.  For your install problem i have never came across this but i suggest looking on Major GTA Gaming websites for a Solution or maybe Google.  Just to note when you do install it keep your disk in the drive to play or the game won't load when connecting to a server.

I already had the V1.0 on but I downloaded it again, just to check if it would work but it said "Nothing to fix." guessing I already had the downgrade. So it is probably the disk drive because when I try and click connect or try single player it will just make the noise in the CD drive and won't show the disk loading symbol.
note: I tried this with the CD in, not with the no cd patch
